As your loyal Toyota / Lexus customer I found Mr. Malchevsky to be most professional and thoughtful. In addition to his enthusiasm and efficiency, his gracious and pleasantly warm disposition above all helped greatly in expediting my purchase. It was a real delight for me to come in contact with Mr. Malchevsky who I believe aspires to higher operational standards and superior auto dealership work ethics. Sincerely, E. A. Franz More
This dealership has terrible prices. Their initial offer fora Prius was over $1,500 more that the price offered through my car buying service. They refused to negotiate their price more than $100, and claim fora Prius was over $1,500 more that the price offered through my car buying service. They refused to negotiate their price more than $100, and claimed that they would lose money if they sold the car any cheaper. They must be used to clueless Westport buyers. More
This dealership way overcharges for their used cars. They also have the nerve to charge 499.00 for a doc. fee or "conveyance" fee. Do yourself a favor and buy from a dealership in NY state. In New Yor They also have the nerve to charge 499.00 for a doc. fee or "conveyance" fee. Do yourself a favor and buy from a dealership in NY state. In New York there is a law governing dealerships with a cap of no more than 75.00 for this fee. It is for them to shuffle your paperwork and to put more money in their pockets. Also once you get your feet inside after a test drive you are immediatley sat down with this General Manager guy Jeff, who tries to shmooze you and butter you up. Don't fall for it. They just want to sell you a car and that's IT. More
I went to this dealer to purchase a 2011 Toyota Camry SE. The price I found online was the price they had, There wasn't much leeway in negotiating the price down further (I could probably have saved 2-300 mo The price I found online was the price they had, There wasn't much leeway in negotiating the price down further (I could probably have saved 2-300 more dollars) but regardless the Sales consultant was nice, respectful, and knowledgeable. I happened to choose the car on 1/1/13 So banks were closed but I went the following day to sign the paperwork and pick up the car. The sales personnel is fine but BE CAREFUL of the Finance managers. They will try to trick you into buying a extended warranty or extra bells and whistles. Do not do this!!! There is one thing they "forget" to tell you, you can buy these extended warranties and service packages later on within a specific time frame and in fact you can probably buy them from another Toyota dealer from across the country(over internet or phone ) for more than 50% off of what they force on you. Overall My initial experience was nice. Experience with being duped by the Finance guy was not but I went back the following day and they redid my paperwork and were very genuine. I would recommend anyone to this dealer but Do your research and be careful of the actual finance/payment part of the car. More
Worst experience I've ever had at a dealership. Needs a change of ownership. Incompetent mechanics (wrong diagnostics), sleazy reps always trying to up-sell, and terrible management have turned me off of T change of ownership. I purchased a 2012 Prius from this dealership and was impressed by their ability to match a low price, give me a good deal on my trade-in, and their no B.S. approach. I kept waiting for the agreed-upon n impressed by their ability to match a low price, give me a good deal on my trade-in, and their no B.S. approach. I kept waiting for the agreed-upon numbers to change or for a catch, but they were gentlemen and kept their word on everything we negotiated. Joe in particular is a very straight-forward, knowledgeable, and honest guy. I also enjoyed dealing with the new general manager (Jeff I think). I appreciated their diligence in trading with another dealership to get me the car I wanted (which was hard-to-find) within a week. I also brought the new car into the servicing dept to have the reverse beep adjusted. I was impressed that they called be before the appointment to confirm and then called afterwards to check with me to make sure I was happy. More
We had an excellent experience at Toyota of Westport, buying a 2011 Prius. The new team is trying hard to rebuild the reputation after the disastrous prior management team, which under a different owner buying a 2011 Prius. The new team is trying hard to rebuild the reputation after the disastrous prior management team, which under a different owner was arrogant, condescending and rude. Rather, we received a fair, competitive price for our trade-in and the new car. We appreciate the straight talk and honesty. The new team is to be commended. It is not easy to rebuild a reputation, but if our experience is any indication, I believe they will succeed. Our visit made the car buying experience pleasurable again. More
What a difference the new management team in this dealer has made, I had previous experience with this dealer when it was under previous management and I avoided it like the Plague and I live in Westport. has made, I had previous experience with this dealer when it was under previous management and I avoided it like the Plague and I live in Westport. I was looking for a Highlander with specific options and the closest dealer was Toyota of Westport, I decided to give them a chance unaware of the management change, what a relief, no pressure, no hassle, very respectful, upfront and honest in their dealings with me, needless to say I was given a good deal on the Highlander and I bought the SUV. I would recommend this dealer to family and friends and residents of Westport who may be staying away because of their experience with previous management. Kudos to the new management team at Toyota Of Westport. More
My experience with New Country Toyota was extremely positive and I can and will recommend this dealership to my friends, neighbors, and relatives. Shoppers need to know that there is a new owner and n positive and I can and will recommend this dealership to my friends, neighbors, and relatives. Shoppers need to know that there is a new owner and new management at this location. All of the horror stories that you’ve heard about occurred under the previous ownership. New Country is run with integrity, honesty, and a desire to please their customers. The entire sales process was pleasant and hassle-free and there were no games, tricks, pressure, or other distasteful tactics. The sale was completed in a friendly and positive way and there is not one negative thing to say about this organization. You can shop other dealers, but it will be very difficult to match the honest processes in place here. Other dealers refuse to discount or ask for “Market Adjustment Fees” because they claim the tsunami in Japan has affected inventories. Or they pack on mandatory dealer-installed options and inflate the selling price by several thousand dollars. There were none of these tactics at New Country. Sandaura Brooks, the Internet Sales Manager, and Joe Ferreira, the General Manager, both provided me with prompt information via email. They did everything they could to ensure my satisfaction. Joey Rodegher, the Business Manager, handled the contract paperwork and, in a no-pressure way, offered additional services for me to consider. His demeanor was friendly and helpful and he contributed to the “hassle-free buying experience.” The owner of New Country needs to know that his team is making positive impressions with his customers and prospects. And prospective car buyers need to know that New Country Toyota of Westport is approaching the car-buying process in a fair, honest, and ethical way. More
