Having never been to New Country Lexus of Westport until I purchased a car there earlier this month, I was very impressed with the customer service that I received from the sales staff and the finance depar I purchased a car there earlier this month, I was very impressed with the customer service that I received from the sales staff and the finance department. For some years I had been a customer at a Lexus dealership in the Hartford area. I had been used to their way of doing business so I was not prepared for the attention that I received from the staff at New Country. Egzon Mustafa responded to my email requests in a timely manner and was helpful throughout the process from beginning to end. His professionalism is outstanding. Vinny Koorse was not only personable and friendly but very knowledgeable about all of the components in the car that I purchased. When I met Ed Conway in the Finance Department, he was very helpful and professional throughout the purchase process, explaining everything in detail. Credit should be given to New Country Lexus of Westport as well as manager Michal Moczulski for having excellent staff representing the dealership. I will be a customer for a long time. I have never left a negative review in my life, as I firmly believe that mistakes happen and everyone deserves a chance to make things right. I bought a high end luxury car, not a 1970s Pinto, yet I firmly believe that mistakes happen and everyone deserves a chance to make things right. I bought a high end luxury car, not a 1970s Pinto, yet I was made to feel like they were doing me a big favor by selling me a car. This is the *5th* GX460 that I have purchased from New Country. Despite my loyalty and previous experiences, this time was a failure on every level. I put a down payment on a demo in the beginning of the week and scheduled an appointment for pick up on a Saturday morning. Due to my loyalty to New Country, I drove an hour to pick up the car. Rather than calling me to tell me the car was not ready, upon arrival, I was informed that the car was not there. At that point, I was told that it was being detailed and would be ready in about an hour. I went and ran some errands, and received a call in the early afternoon that it was ready and that the sales person would deliver it to me after a 3:00 appointment. After cancelling dinner plans, the car was delivered at 6pm in the dark and I wasn't able to properly inspect the car. However upon opening the door, I immediately saw that the car had not been touched. It was filthy. There were crumbs and dirt throughout, an empty water bottle under the seat, numerous scratches and scuffs in the trunk, an unknown sticky substance on the driver's seat and chipped paint along the length of the rear bumper. Not only was it delivered in this horrible condition 8 hours after it was promised, it was delivered in this condition during a global pandemic. The dealership carelessly and recklessly put a customer at risk with no regard for COVID 19 health and safety standards. Clearly, the salesperson who drove the car to me must have noticed that this car was not detailed, yet he chose not to say anything, hoping I wouldn't notice. After pointing out the many issues, I was promised that it would be picked up first thing Monday morning everything would be remedied. Recognizing that if my biggest problem during these unprecedented times is a dirty car, I put things in perspective and didn't get angry. Monday morning at 11, I received news that there were no loaner cars available, so they could not pick up the car. Tuesday, Dec 23 the car was picked up. I told the dealership that I was going away for the holidays and would likely need the loaner until I returned. I was then told, "Oh, that complicates things." Upon return, I notified the dealer at 8:10 a.m. 29th, that I was able to take delivery. I did not receive a response back until the next day. I was unable to take delivery that day as I was not feeling well. The manager, Mario, asked me to leave the loaner and keys in the driveway and said they'd leave the new car. I told him that I wasn't comfortable not inspecting the car, and I didn't feel up to it. I was then told there would be not staff to deliver it the following day. The car was finally delivered on 3 days later on 1/2. It had been cleaned up and the issues were taken care of. Lexus is considered to be a luxury brand. The GX460 is my dream car and I work hard to afford it. Getting a new car should be something to look forward to, a happy experience. In the past, I have been greeted with a big red bow on the car, a designated person to go through all the functions and acclimate. Instead, I was made to feel like they were doing me a favor by cleaning a car that was being sold to me as new. At this time, I am still awaiting communication from Mario regarding a proper acknowledgement and resolution to this ordeal. More
