I just received a threatening email from the General Manager over my review saying that my warranty wouldn't be honored because I took it elsewhere. I quote, "This will play a factor if you are only concerned with the lowest price service. We have a quality standard to abide by which sets us apart from an independent repair shop. Please keep in mind when having a non authorized Lexus dealer repair your car, you may run into a lack of warranty coverage if they diagnose the car wrong and cause further damage. Your owners manual will state the same 30,000 mile service suggested maintenance straight from Lexus." We all know this isn't true. I am taking it to the same place that has serviced our cars (our other two are an Audi and a Porsche) for 7 years. They are a highly respected servicer in our community and their techicans are trained. I didn't go to the lowest priced place. I drove straight to a place I know and trust. Don't be bullied by JR Buchbinder General Manager!!!

New Country Lexus of Westport wrote on 4/8/2014 3:55:35 PM: First, I would like to apologize for your poor experience and the fact that our advisor Scott did not give you the correct directions to the service department. That is unlike Scott and I do apologize on his behalf. In regards to the quality of work that will be received at a foreign repair shop or Toyota dealership, Lexus dealers use only genuine Lexus parts with factory trained Lexus technicians and state of the art equiptment and tools. This will play a factor if you are only concerned with the lowest price service. We have a quality standard to abide by which sets us apart from an independent repair shop. Please keep in mind when having a non authorized Lexus dealer repair your car, you may run into a lack of warranty coverage if they diagnose the car wrong and cause further damage. Your owners manual will state the same 30,000 mile service suggested maintenance straight from Lexus. This is standard routine maintenance. I understand your disappointment with the price rating of 1 star but was confused regarding the 2 star rating for customer service. Can you please tell me a little more in detail if Scott offended you or did not assist you in the right way? This is his report card and we would like to improve for future services. The customer service and friendlness scores were completely opposite so I did not know if something had happened. Thank you very much!
