I called an spoke to James the service manager and he said he cant help resolve this but he can give me a discount on our next service. Not happening! Disgusting how they did this to a elderly man! I sche I had my lifetime oil change service package purchased from dealership when I purchased my 2021 NX300 which is literary over 25000 miles now. I scheduled a service at BEW COUNTRY LEXUS OF GREAT NECK last Thursday but was turned down by the service department and was told that I needed to pay almost $400 for the service. That’s really ridiculous. I realized that maybe either one dealer was kinda scammed for the extended warranty service package. More

I took my RX350L to have all 4 tires replaced and Mr. James was absolutely wonderful to work with. I did my research ahead of time, inquired about price match and I received excellent service. Mr. James James was absolutely wonderful to work with. I did my research ahead of time, inquired about price match and I received excellent service. Mr. James explained to me the costs and he was able to update my GPS during the same visit. I had an okay experience a year ago when I took my RX350L in for routine service and have been going to Lexus @ Glen Cove instead for a while but I have been disappointed by the service there so I will definitely go back to New Country Lexus. High level management showed no interest of fixing issues, told me to do service at other dealer location. I regretted that I did not read the review before I came to New Country. After I read JK Power’s review dated September 08, 2021, The only way to get resolution is to file auto service complaint to DMV for investigation. Originally, I wanted to have a complimentary alignment inspection that advertised in New Country Website before I ordered an alignment service. Service advisor Mr. James refused to provide complimentary service, he talked me into perform the alignment on my RX330. The day after wheel alignment service, when I turned on the ignition, I was extremely shocked that my car (36375 mile) was making noise, steering wheel was vibrating and loose. After I reported the problem to Mr. James, I examined the surrounding and found steering fluid leaked onto grounds. There were dot size and larger puddle size of fluid marks all over the ground. Without inspection, Mr. James had been sure that the leaks came from rack & pinion, not from tube or pump. Power steering rack & pinion was build strong and last long time, 80k - 100k miles lifespan. A garage owner told me that it is unlikely for Lexus car’s rack & pinion leaks when car only driven 36k+ miles. While Mr. James assured New Country did the road test on my RX330 when performed alignment, the IN (36366) & OUT (36366) mileages recorded on the invoice were exactly the same. The data recoded did not support test drive was done. Car was not washed after the alignment services. Unusual facts included: Coincidentally, my RX330 steering reservoir was suddenly leaked out empty, IN & OUT mileage records did not support Mr. James assurance of road test, routine car wash was skipped, Mr. James was not at desk and had arranged other coworker to take payment from me. Mr. James claimed he did nothing wrong and Management was not helping. I have no choice but follow the procedure to ask DMV to investigate what else were done to my RX330 while It was under go wheel alignment adjustment. New Country Lexus of Great Neck fails to provide vehicle owner a LEXUS standard service. New Country’s act of putting the complimentary service coupons on the website, then refused to provide the advertised services even you brought in the coupon, constituted FALSE ADVERTISING. More

I am a not-so-recent retiree who does not like being conned by dealership service departments – especially when it is a luxury-car dealer. I recently brought my 2018 Lexus RX350L into New Country Lexus conned by dealership service departments – especially when it is a luxury-car dealer. I recently brought my 2018 Lexus RX350L into New Country Lexus of Great Neck for a 40,000-mile service checkup since they are closer to my home than the dealership where I purchased the car. Boy, was that a mistake. I signed up on-line for the basic maintenance without extras and when I arrived at the dealership, I repeated that to the service agent. During six previous 5000-mile checkups on this car at other Lexus dealerships, I had been charged nothing for two visits and between $246 and $343 for the other four. When the New Country service agent handed me a work order, I saw that it contained a prominently displayed “preliminary estimate” of $307.90 – so I let my guard down. Two hours later when I returned to pick up the car, I was presented with a bill for $864.03. When I confronted the agent about the excess charges, he pointed to fine print in the work order that referenced a “revised estimate” of “864” – without any dollar or cent signs in the box. There were no apologies for his failure to disclose this in advance or any suggestion that there had been a misunderstanding – this was purely a “Gotcha!” moment. Although I protested, I could see it would get me nowhere. It was a case of “your money or your car keys.” I decided to pay up and try to claw the money back afterwards. My subsequent efforts to rectify the unauthorized overcharge with the head of the service department and Lexus corporate have proven fruitless. I can’t understand why they would condone the “rip-off” of a loyal long-time customer (I have purchased four Lexus vehicles in the last 11 years) and expect to remain in business. Fortunately, MasterCard and the NY DMV have procedures for challenging overcharges by dealership service departments that don’t require a lawyer. In the meantime, they should rename the dealership: “No Country for Old Men Lexus. More
