Recall repair: Eddie was helpful in communicating with timely updates on my cars status and repair timing. He also was knowledgeable about Honda policy. I had to replace my battery after 22 months service and when I got recall notices about a battery part, I assumed that had been done when I replaced the battery in May 2017. Apparently I was mistaken. My battery was dead on Friday, Oct. 26th. Triple A started the car for me and informed me the problem was probably from the recall part not being replaced. I called New Century and was pleased that they would take the car in that evening. When I arrived I was informed there would be a $130.00 diagnostic fee and if the battery couldn’t be recharged I would have to pay for the new battery even though the old one was only 16 months old. ( I was not pleased but felt I had no choice but to ok the repair.). Sure enough the recall part caused the problem. I paid the $120.45 fee for the battery and was thankful the diagnostic fee was dropped, however, I feel Honda should not have charged me for the battery since the problem was caused by their defective part. I assume this situation was Honda Corp. policy and not New Century’s policy. More
