Overall the service here is terrible. From buying to getting service done I have felt deceived and flat out ignored. Starting from the beginning, me and my wife go to buy a reasonable used car as min getting service done I have felt deceived and flat out ignored. Starting from the beginning, me and my wife go to buy a reasonable used car as mine had broken down. Our salesperson had a reasonably priced Volkswagen Jetta, which we liked, but had a cracked mirror. We said we wanted to think about it and do a little more shopping, but they had mentioned in passing that someone was coming to look at it later. Considering we thought it was a good deal, and we already looked around a bit, we ultimately decided to buy on the condition the replace the mirror. They agreed and me and my wife start the paperwork. My wife hadn’t built any credit at the time, so it seems they were having trouble with getting that to go through the approval process. This was after we had told them we had already been pre-approved for up to 20k(less than the cars price) at a reasonable percentage rate from a bank they said was In our network. This had us very confused on why there was trouble. They then start trying to push me to do it without her, even though I eaplicicitly said we were doing this in part to help build her non-existent credit. They even ran my credit and came back with APR MUCH higher than my pre-approval. We said they would have to keep trying because we were not going to accept that. They then got around to telling us that “the system to check the credit is down for all dealerships across the nation.” I don’t know if you think everyone is just very gullible, but there were literally people still purchasing cars in your dealership after you told me that. We leave after 7 hours of them trying to convince me to buy that day. By the way, remember those people that were supposed to come look at the car that day? Never saw them. Did they ever even have anyone coming look at it? Making me feel like that was just a pressure tactic at their “No pressure” dealership. After leaving I talk to my bank and they tell me they can just cut a check for the dealership themselves and they could put story on the loan. Why was I not told this by the dealership. Nelson wasted hours of my time for something that could have been resolved so easily. I feel they were so intent to get me to buy before leaving they actually dragged the sale out longer than it needed to be. That doesn’t even get me started on the service, which I have to get from them for the mirror for obvious reasons. It’s just as bad as the sale was if not worse. First I call to make sure it’s there like 2-3 weeks after. I had gotten busy and I hadn’t had the time to call before then. They hadn’t even put the order in for the mirror. I asked them why it wasn’t ordered when I bought it, and apparently they had to confirm that was even a part of it 2 weeks after the sale. Of course it was legitimate, so they said they would order it, but that was only after a lengthy and frustrating conversation on my lunch hour. I call another 2 weeks later because I figured it might take a little bit to come in and they said it wasn’t there again. I asked them to make sure because I had asked for it weeks ago, and he said he was mistaken and it WAS there. After another long frustrating conversation I said I would book an appointment soon after looking at my schedule. I call in to schedule and they help me with that and there’s no mention of any problems. The next part was a little my fault, I had gotten sick and was not able to make it to that first appointment, and I also did not notify them. I called back to reschedule it and did so for a week or so later, again, no mention of any issues. For reference, the dealership is only around 10 min from my workplace. On the day of the appointment I had someone run over there with me to drop it off and they brought me back to work to finish the shift. I get a call about 30 min later that I miss because I a working. I call back and it takes 3 tries to get someone from service to pick up, and when they finally do, they tell me THEY DON’T HAVE THE MIRROR. At this point I am completely livid, but I calmly ask them to check again because I had been told by someone it was there already months ago. They said they would check and call me back. Guess what? They never called me back. I plan with my friend to go pick up my car after 7 when he got off, but I knew the dealership also closed then, so I decided to call around 6:20 to let them know I would be over there to get it right after they closed, and if everyone would be gone, to put the keys in the car for me to grab them shortly after. I tried 5 times to get ANYONE on the phone with absolutely no luck. I rushed over to my friend and apologized, but asked if he could leave a little early with me. He reluctantly obliged and took me over there around 6:45(before close). 1 look into the window as I pull into the parking lot of the dealership and 4-5 people are just standing at the reception desk talking. I am furious with Nelson, but still calmly go to get my keys. They then give me an excuse that the mirror “has 2 parts” and “they had one part in, but no the other” I have no idea weather I should believe this or not either. Ultimately Nelson has dropped the ball tremendously every step of the way, and as soon as they get my mirror in. I will be glad I never have to speak to them again. More
