Was looking for a TLX and they had an A spec demo for sale on the lot. Price was good and I had taken it on a test drive. I brought the wife in and she liked it. I told Ashley I wanted to buy it and it sale on the lot. Price was good and I had taken it on a test drive. I brought the wife in and she liked it. I told Ashley I wanted to buy it and it was time to talk price. She said since it was used the price listed was the price. Ok, price was fine, go write it up. I look at the contract and underneath tax, tag, title is another fee for $750. This is listed as a dealer fee. I ask what this is and she slides a laminated card across the desk listing a bunch of junk fees. She also tells us they are required by Acura to charge these fees and to pass them on to us. I said so the “price isn’t really the price”, please take this fee off or adjust the sale price. She said she couldn’t do either. I know she is just a minion and the sales manager didn’t let her deal. So I won’t hate on her. At that point we walked out. Then ensued an hour of texting to try and salvage the deal. Nothing was offered to make up for this junk fee. The next day I had to go to Indianapolis, which has two Acura dealers. Hubler Acura in Greenwood got the sale. I also bought a new one. I told my salesman this story and he laughed. He said they charge $250 for this and that the other dealer in Indy charged $500. Hubler also got me the color I wanted. This negotiation was a lot less contentious. Guess which dealer I’m going back to? More

This is a decent dealership but the used car salesman I dealt with was less than professional. He kept trying to get me to put a deposit down on a car that needed new brakes and a transmission fluid change dealt with was less than professional.
