Deceptive, dismissive, dishonest equals dreadful experience Initialy drawn to this dealer during internet search that produced several cars of interest. Knew I would be at a business conference two hours away Initialy drawn to this dealer during internet search that produced several cars of interest. Knew I would be at a business conference two hours away and could squeeze in a purchase, so I did two specific things to prepare: ask that all fees above the listed price be disclosed upfront (no resposne/never provided) and completed loan pre-approval form online. Also called the day I planned to make the drive to confirm pre-approval status and was assurred no problem. When I arrived I asked for salesperson I had been communicating with but ended up with floor manager who immediately began writing extra fees on a sheet of paper that would be part of deal including $1895 for certifying the vehicle and for warranty transfer and $1395 for some kind of preferred customer program. When I explained I had already asked for this info and not received and had driven 2 hours and was agitated he said the salesperson I had dealt with was "somebody who they hired who makes $8 per hour" as an explanation for undisclosed fees. I then was asked to look up on my phone the stock numbers of the cars I was interested in, which I provided and he left. 15 mins later a person I had not met strongly encouraged me to come see a car I might be interested in that was nothing like the two I had asked about. I refused and went outside to find cars. 15 mins later this same person who actually was a salesperson, drove the aforementioned car I didnt want out to where I was on lot and insisted I take it for a drive and aggressively questioned why I didnt want it. I refused again, he drove off and returned 15 mins later to inform me both cars I was interested in were sold...as I was standing at one of the cars I had found (not marked as sold or not for sale). He then went and retrieved keys for a test drive and began a safety features rehearsed speech I said I had already researched yet he continued. Long story short, they had not pre-approved me, were dishonest on several fronts, tried every deceptive practice car dealers are infamous for and wasted several hours of my and my family's time all to end in pure frustration. Do not be their victim. More
