I went to the dealership today to get an appointment to get a light bulb changed. The gentleman in the service department offered to get me in soon if I wanted to wait. At the completion of the service when the coupon I received in the mail was giving him a problem he graciously with no excuse or further discussion gave me an unexpected Christmas gift. Love this dealership always so kind, efficient and the customer service is above and beyond each time I go there! The team at Napleton Volkswagen of Sanford really did not make the car buying experience a good one. After contacting them regarding a vehicle in their inventory I was reached out to by numerous employees make the car buying experience a good one. After contacting them regarding a vehicle in their inventory I was reached out to by numerous employees making any communication ineffective for them. By then end of my experience i had spoken to, received calls, texts, or emails from at least six different people. When specifically asked to reach out via email because I was not able to take calls/texts effectively while in meetings, that was ignored the majority of the time. In fact, at one point they sent me a virtual tour of the vehicle, which was for a different model entirely. When I reached out originally I was given a price quote in writing via email. However, once I had spent the money on a pre purchase inspection the price was suddenly ~$2,700 higher in the pricing breakdown they sent. When I presented them with the original price quote I was told the quote was for a different car. Given that the quote email had all the specs and the VIN number included, the quote was definitely for the same car. After that I was then told the price had gone up because they changed the tires and windshield and it wasn't for a different car but what they "had in the car". Talking with them they went through the motions of reducing the price some, but still above the original quote. The new pricing breakdown they gave for the car didn't make any sense at this new price either. There were an additional ~$700 in fees that weren't on the first pricing breakdown. Additionally the taxes were at roughy 11% of the total price including fees. This is obviously very wrong since my out of state (GA) tax rate is 6.6% and per Florida law I would pay 6.6% plus the difference between that and the maximum Florida tax rate of 7.5%. This is not the first time I've bought a car from Florida. Sadly, I was ready to buy the vehicle at the price they originally quoted me, but the run-around, sudden price change, and suspect taxes means I had to walk away. More
Great place to get your car repaired, my service person was ROXANE and she meet me with a smile. When I told her what was wrong with my car she told me when it would be ready and she was right on about how was ROXANE and she meet me with a smile. Things went fine until I was sold a extended warranty that was billed as "bumper to bumper" by Jeremiah the finance manager. After getting home reviewing the policy it definitely wasn't that! I called the extended warranty customer service and they laughed, stating its a power train warranty at best. I called the dealership immediately to try and fix this issue. I must've called 10 times over several days with no return phone call or transferred to a dead line. Finally got a hold of Anthony in the finance dept. ( no call back but someone transferred me to him after 10 more calls). After several email and phones call I received a refund. No apology, I'll pass this on to management etc I'm guessing that is standard behavior of that dealership! This is not "where the customer comes first"! It's actually laughable. Fast forward to today, 45 days later still no tag for my sons car. Again called several times over the past several days no return calls. Finally today I spoke with someone that cared and they transferred me to a person who said they just took care of that YESTERDAY and the plates are in the mail. So do yourself a favor go else.
