WORST car buying experience ever!!! I bought a new 2016 Forester from Napelton Subaru, but when I went out to get the car IT HAD BEEN CRASHED. No one was going to mention this to me ei I bought a new 2016 Forester from Napelton Subaru, but when I went out to get the car IT HAD BEEN CRASHED. No one was going to mention this to me either, I noticed it for myself. The manager came out and looked at the damage (both passenger doors scraped and a small dent in the from passenger fender) and said they would fix it, but couldn't that day because it was a Saturday so I had to take a half day off work and drive the half hour each way to drop it off on Tuesday. They offered me NOTHING for their mistake or my time. Not the only problem. I paid cash for the car. While I was filling out paperwork the finance manager told me he didn't want to accept my check because it was a "starter check." He told me the options were to go get a cashiers check or to let them run a credit check. I told him that I did not want to run my credit so I would get a cashiers check, but it was Saturday and the bank was closed so I would have to do it Monday. So then he told me, "Well its just a soft credit check and it won't affect your credit." So I said ok. Turned out that was a blatant LIE. I got a notification a couple days later that it was in fact a hard credit check and my credit score took a hit. When I went to pick up the car today I confronted him about this, and he kept repeating, "It was a soft check, its not going to affect your credit, you have good credit its fine if its lowered a few points." NOT ITS NOT. Even when I showed him that it was a hard check, he just kept repeating that. Then he said, "This could have been avoided because I offered not to run it by you getting having a regular or cashiers check." I made that decision BASED ON HIS LIE. Then I get the car home and guess what? You can see exactly where it was painted over. Like spray paint. STAY AWAY from any Napelton dealers. Don't buy from there and don't get service there. They are liars, their service department crashed and spray painted my car and they have no customer service. More

Note their 2-star rating on Yelp with dozens of similar complaints. We were interested in a used car which had been on the Napleton Subaru lot for a long period of time and whose price had been reduced a few times. The car came with a 2-month 'major mechanical' warranty but had a fault with the brakes. The dealership offered a price $400 higher than we were looking to pay and committed to fixing the brake issue at their expense. After some back and forth, we agreed to their number, only to have them go back on their offer and raise the price by *another* $300 because there was "too much interest in the car" (later found out there were no other interested parties). After calling them out on this and going through several more maddening rounds of negotiation, they agreed to go back to their original number but they would not repair the brakes (as they had promised to do) and they would not cover the car under a limited warranty (as the sticker claimed they would). Despite these red flags we agreed to buy the car. We paid their service center to repair the brakes and went to complete the sales paperwork. We were *not* financing the car but were presented a form clearly labeled "Credit Application" and were told by the salesperson that it was "required by the Patriot Act" that we provide SSN, date of birth, and other sensitive financial information to receive the title to the car. Note to prospective buyers: there is absolutely zero legal requirement from the Patriot Act or otherwise for you to provide your SSN or fill out a credit app to receive a car's title that you are paying for in cash or your own pre-approved financing source. This is a scam designed to get access to your credit report in order to qualify you for finance sources the dealer uses (and makes money from). We stood firm on not filling it out, got the keys, and got out as fast as we could. Napleton's Schaumburg Subaru is a stealership in every sense of the word that pulls out every dealer scam in the book. Avoid at all costs. More
Very helpful I set up my appointment a couple days in advance. Miguel was very helpful. He was able to answer every question I had about the car. When arriving to the dealership he had a list of cars to show me based on what I had expressed my interests were. It was easier than I expected which I think had a lot to do with how the salesman assisted me. More

I wasnt pressured into anything, this was my second car purchase and they made it a really great time! I love going back to the dealership and talking with them! They wont let you leave till your happy with your future car purchase, and have a car that will fit your lifestyle. My forester was the best purchase ive ever made and couldnt be any happier with the condition the vehicle was in when i received it, or the service i was provided. Always looking forward to dropping in the dealership and see them! TOTALLY RECOMMEND! More

They negotiated with me lower price which I was very pleased with. I was even going to write both of them a positive review. They agreed to address/repair two items on the vehicle. It was Saturday, and they were very busy the day was coming to the end so they asked me if I can just call to schedule time for week day to come and have the items fixed. I said no problem. Those really were small items and I trusted the guys. I was so wrong - let me tell you what a nightmare, I called over and over again over the period of 2 weeks. I kept leaving messages and was being told that the “service tech” will call me back. That never happened, to this day I have not received a call back! At this point I moved to North Carolina so I guess my lost! I decided to cancel extended warrantee that I purchased through them, after the repair issues I just lost trust and confidence in them, and I was able to find more reputable insurance company. I been contacting them over and over again since November 29th, I received a v-mail bout 2 weeks ago, I called back and I am yet to hear back regarding what is the next step. Please beware once you leave that dealership you will never be able to get a hold of anyone there, anything that was promised to you will never happen! More

I get there from driving an hour away and they endured me that the vehicle will be ready . I get there and first they cannot find a vehicle and after they located took about an hour to get it down from the ramp. Then they scratched the bumper pulling it off the curb. The vehicle had only 14k miles and was a clean car overall under the factory warranty. The tire pressure light was on and they ensured me it was just low on air or if it's a sensor that they will replace it. Turns out the sensor was aftermarket and faulty and they wanted nothing to do with it after the final sale . Than I go back to my original bill of sale and all the numbers were higher than what we agreed on. I know the dealership is a place of business and they need to make money, but why lie about everything you say and do. This is the primary reason why buying a car is such a negative experience. I purchased many cars from dealerships around the nation and this dealership is one you want to AVOID AT ALL COST!!! They target hard-working Americans and pinch every single penny they can for their own benefit. I had no problem letting them make some money on my trade, and I didn't even negotiate the selling price of the Lexus and yet I still got taken advantage of. I would not recommend this dealership to anybody and please read the reviews of dealerships before you go in and make a purchase. More

I was helped by salesman Mike Willock who was incredibly helpful in tracking down a replacement, he had a good knowledge of Subaru's line up and helped me find a WRX I like even more than the Forester it replaced. Price uncompetitive, customer service could be better May be it is because they are located in Schaumburg where they get tons of traffic into their shop everyday. But we found this dealers prices to be very uncompetitive. They probably get enough customers who pretty much pay whatever the sales person quotes the first time.
