Matt was an excellent sales person and his easy-going demeanor made what could have been a tense negotiation more like a casual exchange of view points. Autobarn was able to slightly beat the interest rate offered by the bank that was holding my current auto loan. There was little pressure on purchasing warranties and other extras once I indicated to the finance person that those options were not even going to be under consideration. This is my fifth auto purchase from AutoBarn Countryside and will definitely not be my last. More
Sold us a certifed, pre-owned vehicle. In less than a year of ownership, we've had to have ALL the brakes replaced, fuel pump replaced, and the door re-attached! The prices for their work are exorbitan year of ownership, we've had to have ALL the brakes replaced, fuel pump replaced, and the door re-attached! The prices for their work are exorbitant ($500 for services the Jiffy Lube will do for under $100). I would not recommend doing business with them. More

A few years ago, we bought a VW from the Countryside Autobarn VW dealer and had a wonderful experience. We've had good experiences with Autobarn's VW service as well. So, when we decided that we wanted Autobarn VW dealer and had a wonderful experience. We've had good experiences with Autobarn's VW service as well. So, when we decided that we wanted to buy a Mazda CX-9, we figured we would have a good experience at Autobarn's Mazda dealer. But, we can only describe our experience at Autobarn's Countryside Mazda dealership as an "ordeal". We did end up buying a vehicle and ALMOST got the advertised price. Our salesperson was young, but extremely friendly, polite and generally helpful. We had no issues with him -- except that we wish he would have told us at the start that it would take OVER 3 HOURS for us to see the finance manager AFTER we struck a deal. Yes, you read that right. After going for a test drive, discussing pricing, and reaching an agreement, we THEN had to wait OVER 3 HOURS to sign the paperwork. When all was said and done, it was roughly 4 hours after we verbally agreed to buy the car that we drove away in it. And all told, we were at the dealer for almost 6 hours. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCE SHOULD YOU TRY TO BUY A CAR FROM THIS DEALER ON A SATURDAY. Unless you have absolutely nothing to do. If you do try to buy on Saturday, make sure you are the 1st customer, or plan to wait a LONG time -- bring a book to read, or a couple of DVDs and a DVD player. And a picnic lunch - you'll need it! At roughly hour #5, our patience had eroded to the point where we asked to speak with the manager. He came promptly out and spoke with us, apologized profusely, and offered us free all-weather floor-mats at no cost. A nice gesture that helped alleviate some of our frustration. But nevertheless, this dealership has a serious process problem. We weren't the only customers waiting impatiently for the finance manager. You'd think that on their busiest day of the week that they'd consider having TWO people who can sign all of the financial paperwork. We wanted to leave the dealer excited about our new vehicle; but instead, we left exhausted and frustrated that it took so long. It was a very disappointing experience. (We're not the only ones who have experienced this... read some of the other negative reviews on this site.) More
Everyone at the Autobarn was great to work with. Although I did not get the exact deal I was looking for, they offered me the best price by far compared to the other dealerships I went to. They were willing to work with me, so we got the deal done. I had contacted the Autobarn prior to visiting, and they were very prompt to answer my questions. There was a mixup when I went in to sign the papers on the payment we agreed on, but realizing it was their mistake they offered a very reasonable compromise. It was a good experience overall, and everyone I dealt with was very friendly. Compared to the other 3 times I have purchased a car, it was the best. More
