Won't fix their own mistakes, not accountable We bought our 2014 CX9 from this dealership as a used vehicle with 12k. Because of the low mileage at the time of purchase it came with the new car wa We bought our 2014 CX9 from this dealership as a used vehicle with 12k. Because of the low mileage at the time of purchase it came with the new car warranty. It is also came with their certified used car warranty. We've had the vehicle serviced by CJ Wilson several times in the last year. Each visit we complained that we heard a noise coming from the front wheel area and that iit was pulling when stopping and while driving. Each time their response was that there is some rust on the rotors and as we drive it, it will go away. The brake pads started to squeal so we brought it in to have them checked. The technician removed the wheel and showed me the rotors. The inside of the rotors where the brake pads had worn out were pitted and scaling and had so much rust on them that the metal was flaking off. This is something that can't be "driven off." The pads were unevenly worn and we were told that wouldn't have happened if we had driven it more. They said out of "good faith" they would warranty the rotors only. I would be charged for the labor and new brake pads. I feel the pads should have been replaced under warranty because they wouldn't have worn out prematurely if the rotors weren't bad to being with. I opted to change the brake pads myself. I found that on both sides the screw that holds the rotor to the wheel hub was broken off. I had to drill out the screws to be able to remove the rotors. I suspect that after CJ Wilson aquired this vehicle and during the used car certification the tech tried to replace the rotors and snapped the screw that holds the rotor to the wheel hub for both front rotors. This could be why only the brake pads were changed and not the rotors. We have put 13,000 miles on this vehicle in the last year. How much more was I supposed to drive it to get this rust off? How can I drive it more when the pads are already worn out? During this same visit they said that my rear brake pads only have 20-50% left. I purchased new pads to replace them at the same time as the front brakes. Upon inspecting the old pads I found there is over 75% left. I have also kept these and have pictures if anybody is interested. Their service advisors have treated us nicely when we're there. It seems the mechanics are not being held to the standards CJ Wilson claims they maintain. We chose the CX9 for its reviews, and chose CJ Wilson because of their reputation. Based on our experience we don't recommend CJ Wilson to service your vehicle. Their service team is inadequate and they're either dishonest or lacking the knowledge to correctly diagnose these issues. I would be happy to present the defective parts and/or pictures that will prove our vehicle was not serviced properly. More
