This past monday we brought our vw atlas cross sport back in because of a front end vibration/shimmy. We have had the car in there at least 2 other times for this, starting in January of 2021. No one can see in because of a front end vibration/shimmy. We have had the car in there at least 2 other times for this, starting in January of 2021. No one can seem to duplicate it. However, this past monday, magically it was duplicated only to be told the tires were cupping.....(remember its been in there at least two times since january and no one said a word about the tires) These are 60,000 mile tires with only 21,000 miles on them. They told me that I would have to pay for the tires myself. Talk about shady. 2 weeks before this appointment they couldnt find a thing and now they want me to spend over $700 on tires. The front end vibration/shimmy has been there since we bought the car (not to mention they didn't pay the loan off right away and we had to make additional payments on a car we didn't even own anymore) but we are expected to pay for tires that should still be good or they should stand behind the vehicles they sale. I will be taking this elsewhere to have it looked at. So buyers beware, they cant pay off loans on time and the service department is ridiculous. More
Service dept does great work, but they charge a $140 "diagnostic fee" which is non negotiable and totally unreasonable. I am always impressed with the care these people take in everything they do, from excellent work on my car, to incredibly friendly customer service. Everything was perfect when I got my vehicle. They were responsive and answered all my questions.
