I really like my vehicle and purchasing it went fine until Damon Sleeper lied to me about something we had agreed to and insulted and threatened me when I asked about it. I was shopping for my first car, but I was worried that since my credit isn’t the best that I would need a co-signer, which I don’t have. I wasn’t actually expecting to drive off the lot with anything, I t since my credit isn’t the best that I would need a co-signer, which I don’t have. I wasn’t actually expecting to drive off the lot with anything, I thought I would get told that I needed a co-signer and I’d get shooed out. Much to my amazement I was able to purchase a car without a license, which is legal in MO. The plan was to learn to drive in my new car so I could get my license. The paperwork was signed, my friend drove me off the lot and that was that. I thought. I had the car for a week before the calls started. I was bombarded with calls from Napleton’s financial team about the bank that was financing me wanting me to have a license to finalize the process. I never bought a car before but I was under the impression that once I am accepted by a bank, sign the paperwork , pay and leave the lot with the car that everything was throughly looked over and completed. So the Napleton team rushed me to get my license, asking me to “take the driving test anyway” when I told them that I have NEVER driven a car before. I wanted/needed time to practice. My anxiety rose and with the help of a friend, I started my driving lessons, but Napelton wouldn’t wait. So today, the bank financing me pulled out and Napelton told me to bring the car back after forcing me to write a five star review. You can’t imagine how depressing it is to be granted my first car and have it torn away from me because the salesman that worked with me didn’t do his research on the banks financing people. Why sell a car to me if the banks can’t finalize the process without a license? Why didn’t the salesman know that when he was taking my $4,000? Why wasn’t the process finalized when my friend drove me off the lot in my new car? What type of company gets your hopes up and forces you to make a humiliating trek to their establishment so they can take the keys they were so eager to give you and tell you to catch an Uber home? How am I supposed to tell my children that mommy’s new car, Onyx is gone? Napleton. Napleton is the kind of self serving company that would do that. Thanks. More
Unprofessional, I would not suggest this dealership to anyone seriously looking to purchase a vehicle. I purchased a vehicle that was unready and given false dates of when to pick this vehicle up 3 times. anyone seriously looking to purchase a vehicle. I purchased a vehicle that was unready and given false dates of when to pick this vehicle up 3 times. This resulted in me paying unnecessary travel expenses, this lead a complete waste of finances to attempt to obtain insurance for the vehicle. To this the dealers only response essentially amounted to "My job is to hard." Because they were out of loaners and could not be provided a rental they made me waste 10 days waiting for them. Even though I provided a down payment and signed all the paperwork for the vehicle. I would highly suggest going anywhere else. More
I came in Nov 2022 for a repair that I already had a diagnosis on from my trusted mechanic. This was related to a side mirror module that essentially would need to be re-programmed by the dealer otherwi diagnosis on from my trusted mechanic. This was related to a side mirror module that essentially would need to be re-programmed by the dealer otherwise I would've kept the business with my mechanic. The repair department changed my diagnosis. I have a really good warranty and I was unamused to learn that their hourly labor rate was higher than what the warranty covers so I would have to pay the additional amount of out of pocket to get my repair (in addition to two recalls that were needed on my vehicle.) After the "repair" was made, I reached out and spoke to the manager of this department on multiple occasions. I was insisting that they provide a loaner vehicle for the second time around b/c I could miss work to sit there again. Jim Willie assured me that he would reach out as soon as he had a loaner available. He didn't I followed up again on July 11th with a voicemail. Someone named Jessica returned my call and agreed to forward my request to the new manager, Cory Lopez whom had replaced Jim. I left him an additional message on July 24th. I also left message with his manager, Ron Mayhall on August 2nd. Nobody has ever called me back aside from Jessica when she was going to forward my message. No attempt has been made to resolve this issue. My vehicle continues to display the same issue. My warranty is not interested in pursuing it so I'm choosing to follow through with it myself. It's awful that this group is so careless. More
