This dealership will damage your car and then “management” will completely ignore you. Mazda corporate will help, but it’s just annoying. Beware of Jeff and Joe K. “management” will completely ignore you. Mazda corporate will help, but it’s just annoying. Beware of Jeff and Joe K. More

I would say that this dealership is not one that has integrity. I have visited numerous dealerships and they are charging msrp. This dealership is charging 10% over msrp. Must have a very greedy owne integrity. I have visited numerous dealerships and they are charging msrp. This dealership is charging 10% over msrp. Must have a very greedy owner. You may not need customers now but you will in the future and I don’t think this is a good long term business strategy. Be careful greedy owner cuz karma is real! More
Purchased a used Mazda CX-5. I have absolutely nothing poor to say about the sales experience. Tom was an incredible sales rep and I left feeling confident they worked the price I have absolutely nothing poor to say about the sales experience. Tom was an incredible sales rep and I left feeling confident they worked the price down the best they possibly could have. I’ve had the car about a day now and it’s exactly what I have been looking for and initially preforms greater than expectations. This was my first car purchase through a dealership vs. a private seller and not one stereotype or cliché was felt. Ask for Tom and I’ll be recommending Napleton Mazda of Libertyville to whomever I come across. More
Caution on anything bought from this dealer that is used, they don't put the time or costs into any vehicle, yet ask full retail pricing. Be very observant or bring a mechanically inclined person with you fo they don't put the time or costs into any vehicle, yet ask full retail pricing. Be very observant or bring a mechanically inclined person with you for the test drive and buying experience to go over the car. After multiple visits, they ask high end of a vehicles worth, and these used vehicles sometimes need $1000+ worth of repairs that are plain to see to a trained eye. This is NOT a higher end dealer or even trust worthy dealer to deal with. Avoid at all costs and choose a small dealer then cause the quality will be the same and pricing will be cheaper. More
In my experience with Napleton Mazda (particularly Sam Youngs, Luke and Kelly White) I found that they chose deception over integrity. When I was presented with the purchase agreement it included an $8 Youngs, Luke and Kelly White) I found that they chose deception over integrity. When I was presented with the purchase agreement it included an $885 conditioning fee. I questioned Sam about this and he told me that this fee is visible as "the biggest number on every car", "was clearly labeled on the website" and is "non-negotiable". None of these statements are true but when I proved it to Kelly by showing her seven cars in a row that had no mention of this charge she tried to explain it away by saying maybe the cars are new to the lot. She had nothing to say when I showed her that the car I was buying had been on the lot for a month and had no mention of this fee. When I stood up and said I was walking away from the deal, this fee was removed from the purchase agreement. My purchase agreement also included a $399 charge for "VIN etch". When I asked Luke where I can find the VIN etching, he showed me a sticker and said one is placed on every car. When I inspected the car I did not find etching or a sticker. When I again asked Luke to show me the etching or stickers, he refused. He also stated "What is $400 to you? You have a job and will get another $400. If I was spending thousands on a car I would not worry about $400". I asked to speak to his boss, Kelly, and she was also unable to find stickers or etching. She then gave me a sticker that states "vehicle is engraved with traceable identification codes". I asked where the codes are and she said she doesn't know. I later confirmed with the warranty provider (SWDS) that the dealer is required to etch or affix a code to the doors or windows for the warranty to be valid. In my experience, Kelly and Luke showed that Napleton is not doing this and charging customers $399 for an invalid warranty. I filed a formal complaint with the Better Business Bureau but Napleton did not respond. I know I will never go back to Napleton, but if you choose to buy a car from Napleton I urge you to remain diligent to avoid paying these unnecessary charges. Stand firm and challenge every explanation you are given regarding these expenses. More
