Great effort to help a first time buyer We went to Loren to look at a 2009 Sonata my daughter found online. It was late at night when we arrived and John Adamidis was still very eager to help us. My daughter is fiercely independent and did not want my assistance in purchasing her first used car. I went along with her to walk her through the car buying process and explain things, She had stellar credit but was not deep with a credit history. John took the time to take a test drive, explain the vehicle, and help us put a deal together. It was almost 10:00 when we made an offer, to late to get bank approval on a first time buyer. We picked up again the next day. John did his best to work with us and put a deal together that my daughter could afford. Unfortunately it didn't work out with her budget. My only complaint was that the listed price on the car was the price they wanted. They said they had no flexibility to go lower. John did his best and walked my daughter through her fist negotiation. I like a guy that works with a young person to try and help them with the first purchase. I would go back again if I were looking for another Hyundai. More
My car buying experience at Loren Hyundai I chose to lease a Genesis after looking at Infinity and Lexus. After narrowing down my choice to the Genesis, I worked with 2 dealerships, Patrick in Palatine, and Loren in Glenview. I felt the internet salesman, Steve Gustafson, was especially helpful and appreciative that I chose Loren Hyundai to do the transaction. Their deal best suited my requirements, and the remaining staff from salesman, to GM, to Finance were professional. I had a trade in and had no problems in that area too. I am not the guy to hang around a dealership doing all the legwork. Steve Gustafson was exceptional during this process and sealed the deal for me. More

I saw online that they had a nice selection so I decided to drive over to see some. I was met by Jim in used cars and he was very helpful and professional. Well they had a really nice selection of cars and I settled on a Sonata, which was my first choice. Long story short is I got a very nice deal on the car and the finance man, Phil did his job and got me a good rate too. I am very pleased with the car and everything about Loren Hyundai. I will recommend them to anyone I know looking for a car. More

All of those experiences have been bizarro, but none more so than yesterday. Called the afternoon before and made a 1:00 appointment for an oil change. (They told me they were wide open the next day.) They didn't seem to know who I was when I got there and I told them again that I had an appointment. Took ten minutes to process because the computers were slow. I signed their form authorizing an oil change and tire rotation. Waited in the waiting room for an hour. Went back to the service part to check on the status and they still hadn't pulled the car into the garage! At first I thought it was completed and asked the man behind the desk. He said, "What is your car in for?" Seriously!! They could have called, emailed or texted me and told me they were running late. They could have walked ten feet to the waiting room to give me an update. I was upset and asked for the keys back. Still no apology or explanation. I could write them a letter but something tells me that would be a waste of time. They just don't care. More

He showed me several cars in my range, carefully expalining the pros an cons of each. I selected a small SUV (Tucson) and could not be happier! It's so great and my experience at the dalership was so positive that I had to take time to tell everyone! The Used Car Manager was also great as he explained the pricing policy at the dealership and why there was not so much room in the price. He then appraised my trade. Everything was so professional. Then I had to wait to see the finance department. (my least favorite part) The Finance Manager really took his time again and expalined every option. I bought a warrranty and now I have peace of mind for years. Jim showed me the dealership and introduced me to the service department. Everyone was nice. Like friends. I get free car washes which is nice since my Tucson is black! I almost can't wait to go in for service! Try this dealership. You will be pleasantly surprised with your experience! More
Loren Huyndai is changing for the better! Let me start by saying that I have been stuck going to either Loren or Gregory for years since I moved to the area with my Sonata. YES - stuck! I live and work between the two and just don't have time to search and find a good service department. Loren is closer so I normally went there. But last year I had a problem that I admit was my fault to start, I forgot to give the service person that helped me my coupon when I brought my car in. It was a major service and when I went to pick up my car I realized that the coupon was in my car and asked to apply it to my huge bill to save what I could. Oops, I forgot - sorry. Well the service person said he couldn't after paperwork was ready - what? So I after a while ended up asking to talk with the manager. The manager, Rich did come out to discuss my request and to say I was shocked would be an understatement. He talked down to both the employee (I am not giving his name because he still works there) as well as talking down to me as if I was some stupid child for forgetting to present my coupon when I dropped the vehicle off. He went so far as to read on the coupon where it stated "present coupon at time of write-up" - really? Was this "manager" for real? Well, he was. He talked at us about our mistakes for quite a few minutes before stating that he should probably just give me the whole service for free since that is the only thing that will make me happy probably! That was the last time I went to Loren for anything - until this month when my car had some seatbelt and airbag warning lights come on and I was less than a mile away from Loren. So, I reluctantly went into Loren because I needed my car that evening and the next day for important errands. Prepared for battle I pulled in without an appointment (never good but I couldn't plan my car's breakdown) and was greeted by Michael. Michael was prompt in meeting me at my car and actually seemed happy to meet me. I explained what was going on with the car and then admitted I did not call ahead because this had just happened. So, here it comes...a true customer service professional emerged! He expressed genuine concern for what was happening, explained that they did have a busy schedule of appointments but he would try to at least get it inspected so I could figure out if I would need to rent a car or call someone or just end up with screwed up plans. I was going to need a lift home and he explained that their driver was currently out but when he go back from dropping others off I could get a ride home. While Michael was putting my information in the computer I saw "Mr. Manager" at the other end of the service area desk loudly talking down to another service person - right there in front of customers and everyone. This guy is just rude on so many levels. Michael saw that I noticed him being loud and apologized that I was overhearing that situation happen. I have already made this too long but let me wrap this up by saying Michael did everything he said he would for me from getting the vehicle inspected to calling between my conference calls with updates to having the car ready that evening. And, my bill was LESS than Michael had quoted me. So, it is great to see that Loren Huyndai is realizing that the right employees make the difference. It is great to found someone that makes it easy to deal with your car breaking - I will see you again Michael. More
I went to buy a new car with my wife. Oscar, our salesman, was extremely knowledgible about the Hyundai and we ended up with a Sonata. David, the General Manager helped us get where we wanted to be salesman, was extremely knowledgible about the Hyundai and we ended up with a Sonata.
