Baloney. You guys are FLAT OUT LIARS and you know it. My tire went bad on Touhy Avenue just a couple blocks from Marcus Tire. So, I took this to Marcus Tire at 2628 Touhy Ave. This place is owned by a guy who has been doing nothing but TIRES for almost as long as I've been alive. He got the tire into his shop, filled it with air, and immediately found that there was a hole in the sidewall, near the tread but not on the tread. He asked me right away if the tires were under warranty - I told him the car was barely a year old, and has 10,600 miles on it. He told me that he couldn't fix the tire, but that if he had sold it to me, he'd replace it at no cost to me, under warranty. He told me this has been his family business for decades, and he sees this occasionally, but this wasn't damage caused by an object, but said that something was wrong with that spot on the sidewall and it finally gave out. He told me to bring it back to the dealership where I bought the car, because he said "this manufacturer will honor the warranty, because most of the tread is still there, and this is a defect." He said the tire should've lasted at least 30-40K more miles... And, ya know what? THIS GUY had integrity. He coudl've sold me a tire right there (if it has just been a "flat") and sent me down the road. I'd have never known the difference. His little business would've made a quick sale, and Ii would have NEVER known. But he did the right thing (something the people at LOREN should learn about) and sent me to get it warranty-replaced. That was exactly my reason for bringing the tire to Loren Hyundai. And then, I got shafted by their staff there who were too lazy, and who didn't want to be bothered by dealing with a warranty replacement. WHY HAVE A WARRANTY ON TIRES IF YOU DON'T HONOR THEM?? A stupid TIRE cost them a guaranteed future vehicle sale... And by the way, I didn't just get ONE NEW CAR from these guys. Two weeks after I got my new vehicle, a work associate checked out my new vehicle, loved it, so I brought him there, and HE got a car from Loren, too! I moved TWO new cars for these guys -- and what do i get when I need legit warranty service? A BIG SCREW YOU. We can't be bothered. Well, there are plenty of other dealerships around here who will want someone coming in every 2-3 years for a new car for me, and a new car for my spouse... At LOREN - the customer is always wrong - even if he's right. Stay away if you know what's good for you.
