On 4/17/21, I drove down from Freeland, MI To Carmel, IN to buy a used Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk from Napleton Hyundai Out of state buyers, BEWARE!! On 4/17/21, I drove down from Freeland, MI To Carmel, IN to buy a used Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk from Napleton Hyundai of Carmel. I was told that I would hear from them about my title transfer within 30 days, at which point I could go to the SOS in MI to purchase a plate and registration for my vehicle. The 30 days passed and I hadn’t heard a peep. On 5/18/21, I spoke with Lenny, the salesperson with whom I worked. He advised he would look into it and get back to me. I followed up on 5/19 and the morning of 5/20 with no response. I called again late morning on 5/20 and finally got ahold of him and he said that someone from the title department was to have contacted me and he’d check into and call me back. He did call back to let me know it was processed and I would receive tracking information by the end of the week. The following week rolled around and I heard nothing. I called Lenny to follow up on Monday 5/24, and again on Tuesday, 5/24. No response. I called the dealership and spoke with Michelle, the online sales manager, who assured me she would take care of it. No follow through and no return call. I finally got ahold of Lenny that afternoon and had to refuse to hang up until I spoke to someone who could help me. He got me in contact with Shirley who works with titles. Shirley was the only person I spoke with who made any attempts to help me. The last update I received was yesterday morning 5/27 when I was informed there was nothing the local SOS branch could do for me and that my situation was going to be taken to the GM to see if I could be issued another temporary registration or dealer plate, either of which was to be overnighted to me so that I could continue to legally drive my vehicle. Basically, no one did anything with my title work until I called to follow up, so it sat for over a month. Now, my temporary registration expires on 6/1/21; with the holiday 5/31, that means I’m screwed. I just had two major surgeries and have doctors appointments. I live alone, which means I have no choice now to drive my vehicle illegally. The last update I received was yesterday morning when I was informed there was nothing the local SOS branch could do and that my situation was going to be taken to the GM to see if I could be issued another temporary registration or dealer plate, either of which was to be overnighted to me so that I could continue to legally drive my vehicle. Napleton has completely dropped the ball and made no attempt to remedy the situation. They gladly cashed the check in 4/21, but then sat on my title transfer paperwork for more than a month. To make it worse, there has been minimal response or follow through in my attempts to contact them. I tried to do the right thing, have done nothing wrong, and am getting screwed. I take that back, I did one thing wrong, and that was my decision to do business with a Napleton dealership. More
This dealership has always gone above and beyond to take care of my Hyundai Veloster. I am extremely appreciative of them. I pass several other dealerships to get here and they are worth the drive!!! Buying the car was no problem at all but dealing with the service department is the worst experience I’ve ever had trying to get my car fixed.... they treat you like crap ... trying to get someone on the pho service department is the worst experience I’ve ever had trying to get my car fixed.... they treat you like crap ... trying to get someone on the phone is a hassle... and once you do Get to talk to someone they lie to you ... I bought a car from them and in 9 days the engine light came on so I return it to be fixed... they kept the car for 5 days telling me everyday that the guy was looking at it ... (who needs to look at a car for 3 days) and so finally I get a call to come and get the car and they tell me the bill is over $400 ... now remember I bought the car from them 9 days before the engine light came on .... so after HOURS of going back and forth about me not paying for service to a vehicle that I purchased 9 days before... they finally released my vehicle... so exactly 28 days later the car does the SAME thing.... and here we are now going through the same process.... avoid doing business with these people... they treat their customers like crap More
I set up an appointment online for my car to be picked up for service this past Wednesday. No one showed up. I called in, was promised a callback. Never got a call. I set up an appointment online for my car to be picked up for service today (Friday). No one showed up. I called in, answering service said to leave a number for a callback. I tried another number, # not in service any longer, I tried another number, again, that # not in service any longer. Found 2 websites for Napleton that aren't active any longer. Finally found a number which a human answered. Was told no one in Service Dept. answering, I was to leave a message on Mr. Lewis's phone, which I did. It's now almost 1 hour after scheduled pickup and no one has the car or has called me back. If there was less than 1 star, I'd give it. I am seriously thinking of selling the Hyundai just so I don't have to deal with this dealership any longer. This is not the first time I've had problems with Napleton, hopefully, it will be the last. More
The sales person, Josephine (Jo Jo) worked very hard to help me find a car. She was energetic, courteous and helpful. BUT no one has been helpful in anyway since I have purchased the car..I do not recommen help me find a car. She was energetic, courteous and helpful. I’m driving on expired tags; I can not even get the papers to purchase tags to drive the car I bought there. Kind of like the customer service sucks as much as I hate to say it.. I have spent too many hours and too much time trying to get what I need from them. More
