Edward W. Napleton opened his first automotive business in 1931 on Chicago's South Side. With a $700 loan, a strong work ethic and a belief in common courtesy, he opened the Napleton Buick Service Station. Francis Napleton, Edward's son, was by his side to help foster the growth of the young business in its early years.
Napleton's first dealership was a DeSoto franchise. When that brand was discontinued with little warning, Napleton quickly aligned itself with another Chrysler nameplate, Plymouth, eventually being awarded several additional franchises. Edward and Francis both believed in hard work and exceptional customer service, values that they passed down to the next generation of Napletons. Five of Francis' eight children have worked in the auto business their entire lives.
Edward F. (Ed) Napleton, Francis' son, is a third-generation auto dealer. He began his career as a kid sweeping the floors at the dealership owned by his father and grandfather. He moved up the ranks, serving as a technician, then in sales and finance, and eventually as a general manager. At just 23 years of age, Ed became the youngest car dealer in the United States when he was awarded a Pontiac dealership in Blue Island, Illinois.
Today, the Ed Napleton Family operates more than 79 franchises in eight states. Taking pride in helping each community they live and work in, the Napleton Family name has become synonymous with excellence and teamwork. What started as a small family-owned business has blossomed into one of the most forward-thinking dealership groups in the country. Four of Ed's five children have proudly joined him in pursuing the family business and have a hand in the company's day-to-day operations.

Avoid this dealership, they are liars and negotiate in bad faith. Our salesperson Donntez originally told us he could get the car we were looking for from another dealer and we agreed on a price. Once we bad faith. Our salesperson Donntez originally told us he could get the car we were looking for from another dealer and we agreed on a price. Once we signed the paperwork to start a credit application he told us he did not actually have confirmation that he could get that car, and it turned out they could not. Thankfully they got another one in and we moved forward with that one which was to be delivered in a few days. Went in to finish the financing paperwork and right before we went to sign the loan application they told us "sorry we have to raise the price $500". We only agreed to purchase the vehicle here because they beat the price of another dealership. Jacob the "manager" (not listed as one on the website) came out and talked to us with one of the worst and rudest attitudes I have experienced in sales and basically told us they would not honor the price we agreed to or do anything to make it right and everyone just blamed it on the GM who we never got to talk to. The day after all of this I look on the website and see the vehicle we are purchasing, same VIN, listed for a price lower than what we agreed to even though they told us they could not do the price we originally agreed to. Moral of the story is that this is a shady dealer looking for ways to screw over their customers and do not care about them, just making money for the GM. Took 4 phone calls and opted for the wrong department to get a person. They did not resolve the issue and cost on $1300.00 to resolve myself.
