My 2023 Honda HRV was sitting in the parking lot of my school when the back window exploded outward. No impact. School surveillance cameras show the window shattering. Just exploded on its own. Overcast, school when the back window exploded outward. No impact. School surveillance cameras show the window shattering. Just exploded on its own. Overcast, cloudy, light on and off rain and roughly 60-65 degrees F outside. I used the defroster in the morning which apparently may be connected to factory malfunctioning of the rear windshield. Drove to Napleton Honda in Morton Grove and was turned away with no assistance offered. Been trying to reach manager but no call back. Desperate to get help, I drove 56 minutes to another Honda dealership and was helped immediately. Not sure why one Honda dealership was able to help me but not Napleton Honda in Morton Grove. More
Bought 4 tires from Castle Honda in November 2021 & later that month Napleton take over the facility. When I bought the tires I was told that the new ownership will honor the warranty on tires, but when I w that month Napleton take over the facility. When I bought the tires I was told that the new ownership will honor the warranty on tires, but when I went for the tire issues the service department denied to honor the warranty on tires and told that I have to pay the for Tire rotation & tire replacement, which is damaged. I left couple of messages for both GM & Service manager but never received the call or any solution to this. Anyone, who has the same kind of issues with service dept. or someone advice what to do next. More
Sleazy sales tactics. Our deal fell through after they shadily tried to charge for "mandatory paint protection" without talking to me about it first. They claimed it was a Our deal fell through after they shadily tried to charge for "mandatory paint protection" without talking to me about it first. They claimed it was already applied to the car so they HAD to charge for it, however the car was fresh from delivery and still had tape and plastic all over it. Either they lied and tried charging for a fake service or they did a poor job applying it. There are plenty other dealerships that are transparent, professional, and more deserving of your business. Might be under new management but same old sleezy car salesman tricks. You make an appointment to sell your car and they still make you wait 30 minutes. Just to do the typical knit picking and tearing ap salesman tricks. You make an appointment to sell your car and they still make you wait 30 minutes. Shady dealership put $500 deposit on a car because I needed a car quickly and it was scheduled for delivery in a week. Agreed to pay MSRP and took a color that was not my top pick. Saw car on lot and wh needed a car quickly and it was scheduled for delivery in a week. Agreed to pay MSRP and took a color that was not my top pick. Saw car on lot and when I called they at first tried a story that others had deposits before me but that was a lie. There was no one on the car and that is why I agreed to leave a deposit. When I pushed my salesman he said his boss did it and nothing he could do. Super shady and he would not give me a name so I could talk to them. SUPER unprofessional they sold the car out from under me. Then even when I went to get my deposit back, no apology and made me wait 20 minutes even though they took my money in the blink of an eye. Stay away from this dealership. there rating is low & should be lower!👎😡 More
My name is Sam Rodriguez. I purchase ad 2022 Honda Civic SI in April with MSRP of $28,210. I made an $8,500 down payment on the car and I paid an additional $5,000 markup for I purchase ad 2022 Honda Civic SI in April with MSRP of $28,210. I made an $8,500 down payment on the car and I paid an additional $5,000 markup for the car. After financing, dealership fees, and taxes the final sale price was $53,324. My car broke down on the side of the road on Friday 12/30/22. I recently had an oil change on 12/13/2022 at the dealership and everything seemed fine. However, on Friday I was on the highway driving to work and I received an “oil pressure low - please turn off the vehicle” message. My car began to slowdown. I pulled over, turned off my car, and it would not start again. I towed my car to the dealership and paid the $350 tow bill. Here I was told that I needed a new motor for the car and I was given a loaner car. I spoke with the manager and advised that this is completely unacceptable. My car has 9,000 miles and does not work. I purchased all the extras and made sure to do the oil change at your dealership. I have missed work, incurred the tow bill, and my life was put at risk. One of the dealerships technicians did not do a proper job while working on my car. This is of no fault of my own. I need the dealership to own up to this mistake as I will not be accepting the car with a replaced motor. This needs to be corrected. I spoke with Mike Spencer the General Manager on 01/02/22. Mike said he can correct the mistake. I advised I need a new car because the dealership broke mine. Mike advised that the dealership will receive a new 2023 Civic and he will email me with more information. Before I left Mike shook my hand and said, “We dropped the ball and I will make this right.” Mike emailed me the next day on 01/03/23. Mike completely downgraded the entire situation. Mike said he was able to get my name on the 2023 Civic but that my payments would have to increase a few bucks because I am upgrading into a new car. I advised that the only reason I am upgrading is because the dealership broke my car and there is no reason for my monthly payments to increase. I gave Mike a call to get more information on the 2023 Civic. He then said over the phone that the payments would increase to $100. I was confused and asked why. Mike then said he would not entertain a “fake deal” and proceeded to say he would disconnect the call. He continued to disrespect me throughout the entire conversation on the phone. I went to the dealership today on 01/05/23 to get updated information as Mike was not giving me a proper resolution. When I sat down to speak with Mike he did not even acknowledge my presence. He refused to look me in the eye. Mike said he did not have more information other than what he told me on the phone. I advised that the way he treated me was disrespectful and unprofessional. Mike said we are going in circles and the dealership will either replace the motor or I will have to pay more for the 2023 car. I said okay give me an update on the new motor. Is it a used motor? Is it a new motor? Who is doing the job? Mike said he does not have answers because he is not in the service department. I said okay, talk to me about the new 2023 Civic. Why do I have to pay more for the car? Can you tell me the price of the new 2023? Mike said no I do not have the price of the new car. I advised that I have never walked into a dealership where they do not know the price of the car. He began to get upset at this point. I said if you do not know about service and you do not the price of the car, then the bare minimum you can do is provide good customer service. I told him he has disrespected me this whole time and he is being verbally abusive by swearing throughout our conversations. I asked him if he treats all his customers like this. He then said this is the only option you have and backed me into a corner. He said you can either pay an extra $100 or no deal. I said I understand, show me the numbers of both cars so I can make an informed decision. He repeatedly said I will give you the numbers if you say yes. I said I cannot make a decision without the proper information. He kept saying you will pay an extra $100. Other sales representatives heard what was happening and began to listen. I said Mike you are making this more difficult than it has to be. I just need the proper information to make a decision and you are not providing that. He was extremely angry and was raising his voice telling me to leave the dealership. I asked why? I want to get information about my car that you broke. I said that your employees are listening to this conversation right now, is this how you want them to see you? He said leave right now Sam. I said I need answers as to what is going to happen. He then threatened me by saying he was going to call the cops. I told him that is not necessary I just want to make a proper decision. Mike then pretended to call cops and said that there was a customer that refuses to leave. My salesman stepped in and pulled me to the side where he tried to lighten the situation. Throughout the entire situation Mike has disrespected me and verbally abused me in person, over the phone, and via email. I will not let someone disrespect me like this when I did nothing wrong. I need this situation to be resolved. Mike has absolutely zero transparency with me. He is looking to make an extra buck of me after the dealership destroyed my car. Mike is completely unprofessional, swears, and disrespects customers. My situation is not fixed and I need to talk to someone else to resolve the matter. More
At first bought a 2022 demo CRV EX L on Saturday night from Napleton Honda of Morton Grove as I was told there were no new EX L CRV's available. At the end of the purchase saw damage to the vehicle and wa from Napleton Honda of Morton Grove as I was told there were no new EX L CRV's available. At the end of the purchase saw damage to the vehicle and was told it would be fixed. I asked for the manager Andrew but was told he was gone for the day. I was not happy the damage was not disclosed to me before the sale. The dealership was closed on Sunday so I called at 9:00 am Monday morning and spoke with the manager Andrew. He said bring in the vehicle and we would work things out since they somehow got a new 2023 CRV in. When we sat down to discuss the matter in short he wanted a $5,000 premium over Manufactures listed price and the said he would trade in the CRV from Saturday evening at a $4,600 deficit. So I ended up spending around $9,600 more than the listed price. This is truly a rip off to a 69 year old man. Not happy with the treatment and price that was extorted from me. He originally started at a loss to me of $16,000 but came down to $9,600. This not a way to do business is it? bought extra warrantees also. Ended up paying just under $52,000 not right... More
