I brought my car in for a diagnosis of my faulty liftgate, and understood the diagnosis fee would be applied to the repair. What I never imagined is that they would give me an estimate of over $500 liftgate, and understood the diagnosis fee would be applied to the repair. What I never imagined is that they would give me an estimate of over $500 for that repair. The typical repair costs for such a job is in the $200-300 range, and I expected that, not something over $500!! I told them I was not going to pay so much and would simply pick up my vehicle. Since I was charged $165 for the diagnosis, I asked for the part number so that I could shop for the part. They refused to give me the part number and told me I had to buy it from them! At that point I simply turned away and walked out the door. I felt completely scammed. More
Arrived at Napleton Ford with one car in mind to look at. Mr. Richard Randazzo approached us in the lot. Took us around the lot to look at several different cars. We found the car that was advertised on the website. Mr. Richard Randazzo got the keys from inside so that we could take it on a test drive. everything went well on a test drive. But when it came time to get to business that’s when we got the runaround. We did not put a deposit down that day. Being that I wanted to talk it over with my wife. Mr. Randazzo tried to pressure us to take the car home for a test drive which I was not a fan of. We began to negotiate back-and-forth via text message with Mr. Richard Randazzo which went on for approximately 4 to 5 days. In The negotiation process, we had agreed on that they would have a chip in the front windshield fixed and they would replace the whole windshield. He agreed and said the car would be sent out would be back on Monday of the following week . On the Friday of that week The price of the car on car gurus and on Napleton‘s website had a drastic reduction. At the time of this reduction I contact Mr. Richard Randazzo to let him know I wanted to make a deposit so the car won’t get away. Knowing that Saturday is a busy car sale day, I figured Richard Randazzo would return my call or text on Saturday, which I went the whole day without a call or a text. I ended up waiting till Monday to wait to hear from him, with no reply throughout the whole day. Finally got a hold of him around 8 o’clock at night which he returned my call to let me know that they had sold the car without giving me the chance first. Mr. Richard Randazzo is the worst car sales person I have ever encountered. I will never ever send anyone to get a car from Napleton dealership in Libertyville ever again. The only reason I came there is because my father in law used to buy his cars from there. Even the sales manager did not try to reach out to me after me trying to contact them several times. This is a sad poor excuse for a dealership. Just to let you know I did get my explore brand new at a great price, and the sales person I dealt with was exceptional. And it wasn’t from Napleton. Beware if you’re going to Libertyville Napleton dealership steer away from Richard Randazzo. He’s a scammer. More
Purchased a 21' Ford Explorer ST. My sales consultant was Tom DePasquale. Sales manager was Paul Bochenek. And Ryan helped us in the business office with Finance. All were very professional, courteo was Tom DePasquale. Sales manager was Paul Bochenek. And Ryan helped us in the business office with Finance. All were very professional, courteous and pleasant to deal with. I shopped a couple Ford dealerships and ended up at Napleton. They had a decent selection to pick from. I was originally going to go with a Ford 150 Platinum truck and wound up getting the Explorer ST. Tom was understanding and patient while I was making up my mind. The upper trim levels aren't cheap, so do your homework before heading into any dealership. I have had some bad experiences at dealerships in the past. This time was pleasant at Napleton Ford. Thanks guys! More
I have purchased 2 Used Explorers from Napleton Ford over the years. However my recent 2005 Explorer was purchased from another used car lot. I have taken my Explorers to Napleton for Service and a. Extrem the years. However my recent 2005 Explorer was purchased from another used car lot. I have taken my Explorers to Napleton for Service and a. Extremely pleased with the level of service I have received. Service Managers Rick and Sam have gone over and above for me, even though I don't have a newer Explorer. Recently, Rick saved me a substantial amount on a repair, which considering .my husband and I have both lost our jobs, was a blessing and very much appreciated. I know there are unscrupoulos dealers/ service departments out there that upsell unneeded service, but the service team at Napleton Ford is NOT one of them. Rick could not have been more caring and helpful, not even knowing my financial situation. If I could give Napleton's service managers team 10 stars, I would! 🙏🏻 More

I found the car that I thought would be great for my wife. It was listed as a new car and had an excellent price, so I went in to look it over. When I saw the car it had 1200 miles on it and was told it wife. It was listed as a new car and had an excellent price, so I went in to look it over. When I saw the car it had 1200 miles on it and was told it is a demo so the price should be lower. After I took it for a ride he said that he would check the price. He left for a while and came back the price is the same. I got a bit ticked, but he asked if I had a trade in. I said yes and heard since she is a Nurse would get a $500 discount which he said yes. So I gave him $500 to hold the car and I would bring my wife in Monday. I did and she loved it. So I said work out the price for the trade in and the Nurse deduction. The salesman came back and said the 2 discounts was already in the price. I was ready to walk out, but my wife really wanted it even though her goal was $20000. I ended up letting her have my $500 to get it. I do like the car, but I still feel upset about the fact that it was listed as new, but sold as used, and no discounts were taken. More
Smooth Transaction - No Hidden Fees Had inquired about a new vehicle and got a very competitive quote via email from the internet team. Poor customer service - from start to finish Purchased a new 2018 Mustang GT in 2018. Had to order the car and constantly had the delivery date pushed out over and over, with no updates unless I pressed them. Fast forward 2 years in and had a projector lamp in the side-view mirror start to come loose due to a broken clip. Warranty replacement was denied because the break "was caused by an outside force". An "outside force" broke a clip inside the side-view mirror housing? With no damage to the housing or the lamp itself? Why give a warranty on a car if you're going to pick and choose what's covered. There are plenty of good Ford dealers out there, why settle for poor service here. I won't be back. More
Salesman told me i should go to another Ford Dealer Service department told me that the window chattering when they open is normal and that all Ford Explorers windows chatter when they are going down. I Service department told me that the window chattering when they open is normal and that all Ford Explorers windows chatter when they are going down. I do not except that for a fix. I checked out a new explorer it's windows did not chatter when they where opened. So guess your service guy is a liar. When I talked with your salesman about this he told me that I should take it to another Ford Deal for service. I plan on it. After this type of treatment I will never come back to Napleton Ford. I have owned 6 ford vehicles and I am know thinking about selling my 2014 explorer and going to a differant make of vehicle. So to say it. But before that I will go to another Ford Dealer to see if I can get my 2014 Explorer fix by a more reputable dealship. More
