I had a great experience with Tim and his manager Steve Potts. They were fun to work with, yet very professional. I love my new ford F-150. I feel i got a fair price on the truck. I explained my concerns and needs to the salesman and within a couple of hours I was out of my truck and into and 2011 Ford Fusion. I've been to two other dealerships prior to coming to Napelton Ford and those two dealerships made me walk out of their stores very angry. Napelton Ford listened to my problems and then came up with the best solution they could for me. Now I'm saving up to $500 in gas a month just from geting out of my truck and into a car with much better gas milage. Napelton took the time to listen to my problems and then came up with a solution, that's why I would recommend Napelton to anyone that is looking to get into a new car even if your credit is not the greatest, Napelton will work hard to make sure you get what you need and can afford. Thank you Napleton, I am so happy with my new Ford Fusion car, you really helped me out. More
I am a happy and loyal Ford owner thanks to Mark Hampton and the rest of the service team at Napleton Ford. My current car, a 2003 Ford Escape, has 252,000 miles, still runs great and gets outstanding gas m and the rest of the service team at Napleton Ford. I have been in for service a number of times over the years, and Mark has always taken great care of me. Hats off to all the technicians that have worked on the car over the years also, since I know it is their hard work that keeps it running so well. Mark has always communicated in an accurate and timely fashion with me on my service appointments. Eric Radtke has taken care of things for me also, and I feel just as comfortable with him. Gene Holst, the Service Manager, is always there and always talks with me. In short, my strong positive feelings about Napleton Ford in Libertyville are almost entirely due to the oustanding service team. Thanks for taking such great care of me over the years. More
After a lengthy search on the Internet for a vehicle, I had narrowed my choices down to 3 cars in the area, including a 2007 Ford Edge at Napleton. The Edge was a little pricier than what I was hoping to spend, but was the nicest of the vehicles we looked at. I test drove the Edge and decided to see if Napleton could come down into my range. I was doubtful, especially after two rounds of offers that were too high. I was ready to walk away rather than go over my comfortable payment, but Chris and the staff were eager to make the sale and did make it happen. I'm very happy with the car and feel that I got a good deal on it. Chris, Vincent, and the team stayed well past 9:30 p.m. to finish the deal so I could drive home in my new truck last night. I appreciate that extra effort. Chris is very personable, friendly, and genuine; one of the least offensive car salespeople I've ever encountered. He obviously wanted to make the sale, but also didn't pressure me into taking on more payment than I was comfortable accepting. I would give him my business again in the future. More
My salesman, Jay Gelb was great, very helpful, what he didn't know about the car, he went out of his way to find out. I felt he was sincere about getting me what I wanted. I can't say as much for the other employees there. Nick and Steve also assisted in this purchase and told me the used car I was buying had a comprehensive 115 point inspection and that the car was in excellent condition. There was no inspection done. In fact the washer fluid was bone dry, the coolant was very low and there had been no oil change done. Jay later made sure that all of this was taken care of. Initially Nick told me the car had a 4 year 50k warranty from the factory. Then after I agreed to purchase it and was signing the papers, he told me that the warranty was NOT transferable. He suggested I buy an extended warranty. However, in the owner's manual it states clearly that the factory warranty is automatically transferred to the next owner. Victor in the finance office told me that his mother owned several cars like the one I was purchasing and that she always had to have the radiators replaced. So I better buy the extended warranty. It's not a good feeling to have an employee of a dealership tell you how unreliable your car is before you even drive it off the lot. In the end none of his extended warranties covered radiators anyway. There were two minor items that Nick agreed to replace on the car and told me to schedule this with the service dept. When I called I was told that they don't have information about parts for this make. I had to call Napleton's other dealership myself to get the parts numbers and give it to the service department. I am sure they could have made the call themselves or looked it up online. They had a bad attitude and were very unwilling to help. Also they were irresponsible in not paying off my trade-in for 2 weeks. I ended up having to make another payment on a car that was sitting on their lot. When I told Nick he said, no problem, we will get that money back to you in 4 to 6 weeks! I felt that I was lied to by Nick, Steve and Victor just to make a sale. They have no respect for their customers. It is this kind of bad customer service that gives car dealerships a bad name. I would never recommend buying a car there. More
