They lied to me and took advantage. Do not purchase a car here, these people are shady, manipulative, charismatic liars. I am a single mother, I was EMPHATICALLY clear about my budget, I Do not purchase a car here, these people are shady, manipulative, charismatic liars. I am a single mother, I was EMPHATICALLY clear about my budget, I said that I was open to a used car, they insisted I buy a new one for the incentives. Their initial offer was $650/month which is severely over my budget. We negotiated for hours until they offered a monthly payment I was happy with, with 5k down they told me I was approved for $550/month which was still a bit more than I was hoping but it was workable for a car I really love. So I agreed. We moved forward with the process... and in my own naivety and inclination to be trustworthy, I let my guard down feeling confident that we all had the same understanding...that my payment was $550/month and they got me approved with the bank and oh how exciting. I gave my salesman a glowing review. Finally, after more than 4 hours of being at the dealership with my small child, under what I felt was crystal clear verbal and previously written agreement that we negotiated on ALL DAY LONG...to finally reach a payment I was happy with...$550/month... they handed me a stack of papers and said "This is what we have discussed, here is where you sign...lets get you out of here in your new car!" The dealership was closing, my daughter was antsy, we were tired and ready to go home. I put my faith in these people to follow through on the deal we agreed on. I scanned through all the paperwork and signed. They did not give me a copy of the paperwork, which I didn't realize until I had gotten home...I figured they put it in the glove box but they did not send me home with any paperwork. Somehow, magically, the bill I received was for $640. They said I was APPROVED for $550/month...that is what I thought I was signing. NOT A SINGLE MENTION THAT THEY COULDN'T GET MY PRICE APPROVED. I would never have knowingly signed off on $640/month and I would not have spent my entire day off with my daughter at a car dealership...everybody involved knew what I was and was not willing to pay. I was prepared to leave that day without a car if I couldn't find something I could afford. Somehow I ended up with the INITIAL OFFER that I had emphatically declined at the beginning of the day? So now I have a car that is way over my budget. Today I had an appointment at noon with Sam Mayfield to discuss what happened (on my day off, after I've already spent more time there than anyone should the day I bought the car) and I waited 40 minutes for him to call me in to his office(because clearly they have zero respect for their customer's time, or respect for their customers in general) to show me a piece of paper that I do not recall signing, that I do not have copies of...for a price that I was EXTREMELY CLEAR I could not afford...and proceeded to spend the entire day negotiating the price down. I could have spent only 1 or 2 hours there if I had agreed to the initial offer...so what were we doing all day? Nobody updated me on the banks decision being higher than we hoped. Nobody said a word to me. I take responsibility for signing something I should have looked at more closely, but I trusted them, we shook hands on $550/month..they told me I was approved when apparently I wasn't....and it is completely unconscionable. They encouraged me to unwittingly sign papers for a car they ALL knew I could not afford. I am sick to my stomach over this. They have done absolutely nothing to address this issue, they have given me no options, no apology, no accountability. These people are sketchy, take your business elsewhere. More
UNHAPPY CUSTOMER I purchased a Nissan Rogue on December 23rd. I traded in my Hyundai Azera LTD, which was on lease. No problem they told me...we can take care of you I purchased a Nissan Rogue on December 23rd. I traded in my Hyundai Azera LTD, which was on lease. No problem they told me...we can take care of your lease and get you into a NEW Nissan. It was evening and all of the staff were waiting on closing the sale and they wanted to get out of there! We agreed on a deal and i was advised that the lease was taken care of (they would pay it off and would not owe anything). While in the finance office, the finance guy kept looking at his watch, receiving cell phone calls from his wife and texting her as he was supposed to go home (he told me that). Everything was explained very quickly, I was given the car and off I went. This was at a little after 9 P.M. I felt uneasy about the numbers, so when I got home, I went over the contracts myself and realized that I misunderstood parts of it, so I immediately called my sales person who said he would find someone to help me. After a couple of texts back and forth, he said that he was unable to help me, he was sorry, that there was no one there that I could speak with. Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, nothing. New Years Day I received a call from the salesman (who btw, was young and I felt it may have been his first sale?)called me to tell me I Had To Turn in My Lease myself. What??? So he drove up to Punta Gorda in my traded Hyundai and I had to go in and sign the paper that released me off the lease, then I had to drive him all the way back to Naples and then all the way back to Punta Gorda. New Year Day!! I asked if he would at least fill my tank, but he said he didn't have the authority to do that. I was able to speak with the Sales Manager a few days after the holidays and at that time I became a Ma'am and was told that I signed the contracts. Well, I just figured I was screwed and lesson learned!!. I do like the car BUT>>>>>>yesterday I received a bill from Hyundai for $1224.28 outstanding fees. I was told that everything was taken care of. I called Naples Nissan and asked for someone in the business office, or a complaint department. I was on hold for a while, and the receptionist came back to tell me that no one was available to help me...SOUND FAMILIAR??? She asked me if she could help, and I told her no, I needed to speak to someone in the business office or complaints. She said there was no one, but if I gave her my name and phone number, she would have someone call me. Then she began to question me, and I told her this was an issue she could not help with and he attitude changed. I hung up because I am over attitude and not having anyone available to help me with my issue. It's funny how they romance you during the sales process and after you become a Ma'am. More
