Placed a reservation and deposit on a 25 QX80 in March 2024. Recd a text from dealership in August that two QX80’s were in route and we had the first right of refusal, but had to tell the dealer right awa 2024. We made a choice of which we preferred based on color and trim (no window sticker available, however I did find it on my own on the Infiniti website), and we were told we had to be onsite the day it arrived or it’d go to the next in line. My response is we’d try, as we work full time and have 2 young boys in school. We ended up making that work. Met with Nicole, test drove, and she had someone work up a deal based on our trade. Intention was to pay for car in full and that was shared. Josh joined us after we agreed to the numbers and insisted we had to finance. I should have walked out then, but our credit is good, and we thought, it wasn’t a big deal and we’d just turn around and pay the loan off quickly. This process took forever, part was my fault due to forgetting the trade was in my wife’s name, so I accept that part of the delay. Josh has technical issues at signing so he printed off hard copies for signature. No problem until he started trying to push an extended warranty from a piece of paper that was barely legible. We had been there going on 3 hours for what should have been half that time. Josh was almost insulted I declined any additional warranties. I declined partly because we had kids to attend to and had to get home (hour and a half away with traffic) , but mainly because I didn’t want it nor was I gonna make that decision on a whim. Anyhow, we love our QX80, however, for the cost of that vehicle, the process was far from what I expected when I placed the deposit 4 months prior. More
Rather than just giving you a price and asking you to pay $xxxx you should be given the bill for you to review first. When I asked to review the bill they actually had a hard time showing it to me. They struggled providing a simple bill and then I finally got the bill after the struggle it was incorrect and had to be fixed which is why customers should be given the bill via text, hard copy, email, etc rather than being told your total is $xxx……can I get your credit card? This is for the service department. More
