First off, Nalley Hyndai is a great establishment. They have great protocols for the current pandemic, and the building looks and smells clean unlike other locations I have visited. On 10/12 I was loading a bookshelf into my trunk when the latch broke (my trunk no longer closes). I immediately drove to Nalley Hyundai and spoke to Joseph Strong. I set up an appointment to have the latch latch broke (my trunk no longer closes). I immediately drove to Nalley Hyundai and spoke to Joseph Strong. I set up an appointment to have the latch replaced on 10/31 (soonest they could get me in despite being three weeks away. I understood they were busy and sometimes these things happen). I called on the 19th to let Nalley know I'd accidentally said my vehicle was a 2017 when in reality it was a 2016. I was informed the changes had been made. I stressed I was calling because I wanted to make sure the part was in stock (in the event the parts were different). I was assured the changes had been made. When I arrived on the 31st I sat in the waiting room for an hour before being notified the part was sold yesterday to a local body shop. I was further informed it was my fault because I didn't "order the part myself". I thought when I set up the appointment the parts would naturally be ordered. I work six days a week, Monday through Saturday. I think a lot of people trying to make ends meet understand a Mon-Fri schedule isn't always sufficient to provide for a family. When Joseph asked the next time I'd be available to come in and I told him "December" (I'd have to request another day off work) he laughed at me. Unfortunately, this has placed me in a very bad situation. After waiting three weeks to regain the use of my trunk I'm now looking at yet another four before we can schedule a time for me to return. I'm very disappointed in Nalley Hyundai and cannot recommend them to anyone. I feel this was a case of a body shop (who admittedly probably orders many parts from them every day) taking priority over an individual customer who just wanted to be able to put groceries in his trunk again. More
