If I could give it zero stars I would. 4 months ago I had my car towed to Kia in order to be repaired due to the recall on a piece of the motor in a BUNCH of Kia's. Matt originally said it will be 14-16 weeks which would mean I would pick my car up in Feb. 2022 (3months). I understood the wait and dealt with not having a car for MONTHS, I paid for ubers, rides, asking family members to borrow their car since they are older and aren't working, and asked friends to help as much as they could. I am a working citizen who just asks for the truth. I did not call Matt for an update for 2.5 months. I called late January to see when I should expect to pick up my car. Matt then told me my car was next in line and should be done the 1st week of Feb. 2022. I said okay and continued to wait. They did a diagnostic test on week 10. I called back a week later and he was out of the office so I left a voicemail for him to call me back. A week goes by and I never hear back from him so I call the 2nd week into Feb. He still didn't answer. I talked to his colleague who was WAY more informational than Matt ever was throughout this TERRIBLE process. He told me my car WAS NOT next but that I had 5 cars in front of me to be done first. I asked if he had an estimate on timeframe. He said maybe 8 business days. This now puts us at the middle of Feb. 3 weeks after the date expected. Matt called the last week of Feb/first week of March to let me know my Kia motor was done but my brake lights are staying on. I asked him why because before I brought my car in they were not like that. He said he didn't know and said he was doing US A FAVOR BY TELLING US THE BRAKES ARE STICKING. He then went into details of how this could damage my car. He said "Yeah you need to get it looked at because it could drain your battery and cause your car to break down even while driving it. Due to the brake lights staying on." Matt then said "I can't prove that my brake lights weren't on prior to bringing it to Kia". I said SOMEBODY WOULD HAVE RAN INTO THE BACK OF ME IF MY BRAKE LIGHTS WERE ON. I asked "Didn't you say you did a diagnostic test on my car the 10th week in?" Matt replied "No, No, we didn't". I am NOT a car person so I don't know how I would have came up with that information if I wasn't told it to begin with. Matt is TERRIBLE at communicating, he doesn't return phone calls, and is VERY arrogant in his work place. I would NOT suggest getting a Kia, I myself will NOT buy another one due to ONE thing-having to use this Kia dealership for issues. I will NEVER go back to Kia in Myrtle Beach due to ONE ARROGANT EMPLOYEE who honestly should NOT have communication with the clients. I work HAND and HAND with people in the community for work and I could NEVER imagine talking to ANYONE the way he talked to my mom and I. I don't know if it's because we were both females but he needs to be talked to 100%. I am very happy I got my car back after 4 weeks longer than said of a total of 4 months without a car. Pissed I had to pay 75$ for a diagnostic test to be done on my car for the brake lights. (Even though they did one on week 10& they were in my motor so the wiring could have been hit). Matt's colleague who checked my mom and I out said the issue was a wiring issue with the brakes. I DO NOT RECOMMEND BUYING A KIA IF IN MYRTLE BEACH, NOR DO I SUGGEST HAVING KIA IN MB SERVICE YOUR CARS. I wanted to upgrade my kia to a newer one but unless I buy from another dealership I will NEVER buy another one. THANKS MATT FOR YOUR LACK OF SERVICE. More
I'm from Kingston, ON, CANADA and was in Myrtle Beach last week on vacation, travelling alone, which I often do. I had some concerns about using the GPS feature on my 2021 Seltos (which I LOVE). I went into the Myrtle Beach dealership and Rich Rizzo was soooo helpful, kind and thoughtful. He took me through all the steps but because we had trouble with the USB cord, he wasn't able to show me everything. He recommended I get a UBS and try it myself. I told me if I had any other issues to come in before I headed for home and he would walk me through it, if need be. I did drop in on Sat morning as I was heading home, and Rich, true to his word, walked me thru it, got me set up and I was totally confident that I would make it to the hotel I was staying at on Sat night. It was in an obscure, out of the way place, but with the information and instructions from Rich, I made it safely and confidently. Thank God he showed me what to do because this hotel was in the middle of nowhere but I was confident that the instructions to get there would be correct. I can't say enough about how patient, informative and compassionate he was to me and he gave me the tools to use so I could do it myself easily. My stress level went from a thousand to zip because of his help. It was so nice\reassuring to know that I had a haven to go to if I was in trouble. I can't thank Rich enough!!!!! He is an absolute, invaluable asset to Myrtle Beach KIA and to the KIA organization. Thanks Lynn McIlroy More
Matt was rude. He was not pleasant to talk to or try to work with with our car repair. This was warranty work possible. Took 3 months for them to start the process. They called for information and we gave work with with our car repair. This was warranty work possible. Took 3 months for them to start the process. They called for information and we gave it. Once they found out the warranty would cover the repair they never let us know. We finally got a call after 4 months letting us know the car would be ready for pickup on Saturday. Sat there so look battery went bad and was charged $220.00 do a battery. Worst customer service depart “Matt” that I have ever dealt with. All I can say is stay away from Matt. More
Last week, my husband called Kia maintenance to bring the car in for an oil change, they said they couldn’t do it until Some time in January. This was Nov 29th. Today, our check engine light came on and we car in for an oil change, they said they couldn’t do it until Some time in January. This was Nov 29th. Today, our check engine light came on and we called Kia, they can’t see us until Dec 30th! They said if we dropped the car off, they may be able to look at it sooner but Plan on leaving the car there for quite a while. We are going away for Christmas, they said just keep driving the car, it should be fine. I love my Kia but I will NEVER ever buy another car from Myrtle Beach Kia, will not take a chance on any other Kia dealer either! More

My name is James and my car went in because after getting a oil change from the dealership the motor started having issues so I had the car towed 2 weeks ago after no response from anyone I called 3 days lat a oil change from the dealership the motor started having issues so I had the car towed 2 weeks ago after no response from anyone I called 3 days later now I'm being told they can't look at the car for another month I have 2 small children one has doctor appointments frequently the car is under warranty but I can't get a rental until it's looked at my wife when she called was told oh well I will never buy a car from this dealership ever again I'm still currently waiting on my car to be looked at .... Kia ended up doing the right thing here and traded out my vehicle they did everything in their power to make this right, I would definitely recommend... Thank you Kia More
