We called on an oil change at a last minute request. We had no problem scheduling the appointment the same day. The desk service writer was very nice and polite. Very disappointed in the handling of our service needs . The MY Mt Pleasant dealership is dishonest and crooked. We had a 1:30pm appointment, and the vehicle wasn't looked at until 3:00pm. When I received the 'text' of the diagnosis, I was informed I needed all brand new brakes (front and rear) and that it would cost 750$. I was very surprised they said we needed everything changed. The price seemed high so we called a couple competitors for a comparison and were given quotes for $600 - $650. Spoke with Tyler and asked if he could match 650$ and he said he couldn't go that low, so we left. The next day, we took it to another mechanic that indicated only one of the rear brakes was bad, and the front brakes did not need replacement, cutting the repair cost by over 1/2 the price! Thank goodness I did not get swindled at MY Mt. Pleasant and had the good sense to leave when something didn’t feel right. Not only do you overcharge on labor, but you also suggest unnecessary fixes. We had recent work done at your dealership with our other vehicle totaling about 900$, we are now regretting getting it serviced there and suspect we were overcharged and had unnecessary work done. That's the thing about being dishonest - we are also questioning the quality of the work and if it was even done right. We've been loyal customers to you with our 2 vehicles for several years, and we’ve noticed a frequent change in management and staffing during this time that seems to continue getting worse. Many community members have questioned why we go to you for service and we defended the service department due to your poor reputation, and it is now clear that something has drastically changed in your operations. We now agree with the rest of the community to spread the news of your horrible service and lack of ethics and values. Tyler was not rude, but he also wasn’t helpful. I suspect that he is directed to act in this poor business manner (of overcharging and overselling service needs) by leadership. Just be fair and honest with your customers, and they will always come back. Unlike us- we will never waste our time at your dealership again or any dealership with the MY brand attached to it. More
