First and foremost, they are unable to maintain credibility by keeping promises, and the actual dealership itself is disgusting in both appearance and smell. My wife & I are already financed. We had the displeasure of having "David", one of their salesman, contact us first. We picked an Edge to look at online, he said it would be lined up and ready to go as soon as we arrived at our appointment. When we arrived, a salesman walked out and asked us if we needed help, named Zach. We explained we were working with David and his reply was "Oh, David left, he had to go drive a car to Florida". Zach offered to find the Edge and let us take a test drive to kill some time. We gave Zach the information, and lo and behold, the car was not ready for us. Zach disappeared into the lot to go find it and invited us inside. The dealership is disgusting. The floor is covered in dark stains of varying sizes, cigarette burns, and reeks of cigarette smoke and mildew. The tables are chipped, broken, and cracking. The chairs are equally disgusting. My wife and I decided we would wait a few minutes to see if the car would come around. It didn't. After 10 minutes passed, Zach was nowhere in sight, we decided to leave. We got up, walked past 4 salesmen staring at a computer screen (Facebook) who said nothing to us and left. This isn't the end of the story. Now it just gets weird. A full two hours later, while we're at another dealership buying a vehicle, David had the nerve to text us and ask us how our visit went. We expressed our desire to go somewhere else after being completely ignored, and he tried to give us a sob story about filling the car we selected with balloons and now they had nowhere to go. Not my problem, and frankly, completely unprofessional and borderline disturbing. We purchased our vehicle, a brand new 2017 Ford Explorer, from Coggin Ford on Atlantic in Jacksonville. The next day, David sent us a series of grammatically incorrect and nearly undecipherable messages wondering if "congrats were in order" for our new purchase, or if we were coming back to him if the deal didn't work out down at Coggin! We sent him a picture and asked him to never communicate with us again. We were already financed and had a large down payment. We were ready to buy, and we did buy later that day. If David & Murray Ford had even made the most basic attempt to sell us a car, we probably would have bought from them. Like all car dealerships in Camden County, they failed miserably because they think they are above anyone else and their time is the most valuable asset to them. I can only hope this review helps you decide to go somewhere else. I will certainly tell anyone and everyone about this experience. More
