Service department is an absolute JOKE. We dropped the car off on a Thursday to see exactly what needed to be fixed. Days go by, a week goes by and no one has even LOOKED at the car yet. It’s just been sitting for over a week. And you can absolutely FORGET getting an sort of update. Even the wild goose chase of phone calls you’ll make will lead you nowhere. When I finally do get ahold my advisor I’m told they haven’t looked at the car yet and, “it could be a situation where we get the car up there and there’s no issue at all”. Why would you even have my car right now if there’s no issue?? After getting ahold of the service manager, we’re told a completely different story that they looked at the car the day after they got it, and we’re waiting to hear if we were going through insurance or not to proceed. No one ONCE asked us this nor told us it was the reason for the hold up until going up the chain of command. Two weeks later after running “diagnostic” and $1300 my tire rod is replaced and I can finally pick the car up. When I get there I ask if I can take the car around the parking lot before paying to make sure it’s driving correctly. They then look at me like I have 3 heads and say “no one’s ever asked me that,” $1300 and I’m not supposed to make sure it drives first? In the lap around the parking lot everything seems fine until it starts making a noise a couple days later. I drop the car off to them AGAIN and they have it about 3 hours and can’t hear any noise, so I need to make a 3rd appointment to come back and ride with the technician. The day I originally tried to bring the car back for the 3rd time I called 5 separate times trying to see if the technician was in, and left a voicemail for my advisor and never once got a call back. One of those 5 calls I somehow got put through to sales, who tell me if the cars making a noise i should just trade it in! My year 1 old vehicle I should trade in because it’s making a noise. The following day I finally get ahold of someone and the technician hears the noise now at my 3rd appointment, so I need to bring it in for a 4th appointment so they can see why it’s making the grinding noise. I made the appointment for 8 AM, get a text confirmation for my 8:40 AM Appointment, but neither detail matters because they didn’t look at it until noon. Once again I go through my day of the goose chase trying to get any update, and finally get one at 4:30 pm. And SURPRISE they missed the first time they had the car for 2 weeks that additionally my wheel is bent, and I need new wheel bearings. They confidently let me leave the dealership like that and drive that vehicle for weeks at this point. Despite supposedly running diagnostic the first time. This slipped past them because “you can’t tell it’s bent just looking at it, it’s once you get the wheel off” I ask how the replaced my tire rod without taking the wheel off, “oh no we took it off”. So that’ll just be $2500 more for the wheel, and they aren’t sure if that’s the ONLY reason the cars making a noise, once we fix this we may find even more issues. They have no pride in their work, no timeline for completion on anything, and you may or may not leave with a safe operating vehicle. More
I recently purchased a used 2021 Toyota Camry from Murfreesboro Hyundai. I was helped by a great saleman (Troy). I had went to the reviews for the car dealership before went to check on this car, an Murfreesboro Hyundai. I was helped by a great saleman (Troy). I had went to the reviews for the car dealership before went to check on this car, and I kept seeing postitive comments about Troy. So I was pleased when he was my saleperson. When you come to this dealership, please reach out to Troy. He will be honest and fair. Also, I had an overall great experience with this dealership. I love the car, and the price worked out for me. Sincerely, Chris More
I explained the problem with my 2018 Hyundai and made an appointment a few weeks ago. The appointment was finally here, only to find out that the “appointment” was to leave my car for 2-3 weeks for them to appointment a few weeks ago. The appointment was finally here, only to find out that the “appointment” was to leave my car for 2-3 weeks for them to look at it when they got to it! Of course I didn’t leave the car. More
Grateful for a very positive and enjoyable experience purchasing a new Hyundai. Staff were friendly, efficient and knowledgeable, and the entire process was clear, expeditious, no-nonsense, and pressure purchasing a new Hyundai. Staff were friendly, efficient and knowledgeable, and the entire process was clear, expeditious, no-nonsense, and pressure free. Jim Lunsford and Steve Bubel, in particular, are great people to work with. Highly recommended. More
After waiting 7 months on my vehicle, I still have yet to have my engine replaced under warranty. The dealership doesn't seem to prioritize their customers appropriately by reimbursement of a loaner or renta have my engine replaced under warranty. The dealership doesn't seem to prioritize their customers appropriately by reimbursement of a loaner or rental vehicle. I've been led on for a very long time being "promised" it won't take much longer, that was said by Tyler, their warranty administrator, who I was told by Cory he left due to disagreements with the dealership's views... I have called nearly every week and it is extremely hard to get a straight forward answer. Beating around the bush doesn't get you anywhere when other local Hyundai dealerships have told me how they treat their customers and quickly prioritize their needs. I called Hyundai of cool springs as was told it take no more than 6 weeks for warranty work and engine replacement to be conducted and they've had several people from Murfreesboro Hyundai transfer their vehicles because they weren't being serviced. I tried having my vehicle transferred but was told the warranty process would not go through due to it halfway being conducted at the Murfreesboro location. This is beyond ridiculous and I do not recommend this dealership at all. More
UPDATE: The GM called me, and they're taking care of EVERYTHING. As someone who has owned 31 cars in 25 years of driving, I know that not everything is perfect sometimes so I'm changing my 1 star review EVERYTHING. As someone who has owned 31 cars in 25 years of driving, I know that not everything is perfect sometimes so I'm changing my 1 star review to a 5 star review. They are making things right and that really matters. They were also able to overnight ship my paperwork and I was able to register the car with no penalty (on the last day). ORIGINAL REVIEW: I will gladly update this if things change, but as of right now, it's been a very poor experience purchasing a car from Murfreesboro Hyundai. I purchased a used vehicle from them on 12/29/22, after speaking with several salesman over a week or so time period. I asked all the important questions about maintenance, inspections, etc. and was told the vehicle was in great shape, was very clean, and there were no issues whatsoever. The vehicle was delivered to me 250 miles away the next day; I'm assuming that they wanted to get as many deliveries as possible accomplished before the end of the month/year. Upon delivery, the vehicle had several "service needed" notifications, including the brakes and the blind spot monitoring system (which was completely inoperative). I immediately called my salesman before signing any paperwork and asked that the issues be addressed and to send me a "we owe" sheet outlining the issues; only then would I complete the purchase. It took nearly 3 weeks for the dealership to agree on a place to have the vehicle serviced, and they seem to be skirting around the blind-spot monitoring issue as something they weren't aware of or was never mentioned. I'm scheduled for service on Friday and we will see what the final bill is (I bought a Porsche, so it's not cheap). Lastly, it's now been 27 days since delivery and I still don't have a copy of the title in hand to register the vehicle. I will have to pay substantial late fees if I can't register it within 30 days. Ultimately, if you're buying a new car from them, maybe you won't have any issues. .. . As I said, if everything is addressed and paid for as promised and I receive the title today or tomorrow, I'll gladly upgrade my review with a few more stars. Alex has actually been a very good salesman and generally communicative throughout this process; I don't blame him for the condition of the vehicle or the responses that I've received (or not received) from the service and accounting departments.
