Absolutely bar none, one of "THE WORSE" service departments ever. I am 53 years old and I am a former ASE mechanic. I am no longer able to bend over the hood of a car without my back absolutely kil departments ever. I am 53 years old and I am a former ASE mechanic. I am no longer able to bend over the hood of a car without my back absolutely killing me. I took my car to this place and they were to put in a rack and pinion since I could not get into the cars computer for a relearn of the steering sensors. I towed the car here back on April the 2nd 2024. This place kept my car for 4 months. They put in 5 rack and pinions that were brand new that they ordered from Hyundai. They would put the R&P in it and then as soon as they started the car it blew the seals out of it. They did this not once, not twice not three and not four times but 5x. After the 5th one they came and said they weren't able to get the parts as they were on national backorder. Which was true. I said how long before the seals come in. They were completely clueless. I said no way, I said I am going to order another rack and pinion that will be thoroughly tested along with new power steering lines. I said if you blow the seals out of this one being the 6th one I would be taking legal action against them because I had, had, enough. The first service manager that took the car in originally would never return my call. I would call and ask where they stood with my car and each time they would act as though it was a bother for me to ask about the progress. They canned him and got a new guy. The new guy lasted there maybe 2 and half to 3 months and then they got rid of that service manager. They also canned the general manager as well. So that's 3 service managers and a general manager all within about 3 months. So that tells me there is a bad problem with upper management. I looked into this company because I honestly thought I was going to have to sue them over this. I found their registered agent is over on poston avenue as is most dealerships in this area. I also found out that it is owned by a company in Johns Island SC. Luckily for me after I got so pissed off of them having the car for 4 months I just had, had enough. I called down after being given a bunch of xx stories by the current service manager about their techline dispatching out a guru that works in the area to stop by their excuse of a dealership and he would get to the bottom of the issue. After of course he was on vacation right before he was due to look at my car. At least this is what I was told. I was told that the car after replacing the R&P and the power steering lines that Hyundai told them to change the power steering pump as well as it was throwing a code to the computer in the car. That didn't fix the problem and well, after 4 months I had to have the car towed to another more competent shop for the repairs and diagnostics. All this place did was waste my time completely and in all fairness they didn't charge me for the work the had done to the car rightfully so as I am the one that ultimately supplied them with the R&P the steering lines and even gave them the clockspring that is installed under the steering wheel. I have never encountered such complete and total incompetence as I have at this place. No one answers the phones. They have caller ID to see who's calling and unless you block your phone number with a *67 they will simply not answer the phone. It will go to VM and if you leave a message you will just be wasting your breath and time because I return call simply will never happen.. I was so desperate for a car that I almost bought a new car and was going to trade in my 2015 Equus for a brand new EV. I am super glad I didn't as a really ignorant sales person by the name of Chris said to me that you don't actually own the car so therefore they can't sell me a new car and trade mine in since I didn't have my name on the title. I asked the ignorant guy named Chris if he had ever heard of a power of attorney. All he would do is parrot the same thing over and over again. More
This dealership only provided me with one key to my vehicle, sold me an extended service agreement on the key. The extended service agreement refuses to honor agreement because it states the dealership vehicle, sold me an extended service agreement on the key. Service department is an absolute JOKE. Recent snow storms left me with damage to my vehicle, and my first mistake was thinking I was doing the right thing by having work done on my 2023 Ko Recent snow storms left me with damage to my vehicle, and my first mistake was thinking I was doing the right thing by having work done on my 2023 Kona directly at the dealership. We dropped the car off on a Thursday to see exactly what needed to be fixed. Days go by, a week goes by and no one has even LOOKED at the car yet. It’s just been sitting for over a week. And you can absolutely FORGET getting an sort of update. Even the wild goose chase of phone calls you’ll make will lead you nowhere. When I finally do get ahold my advisor I’m told they haven’t looked at the car yet and, “it could be a situation where we get the car up there and there’s no issue at all”. Why would you even have my car right now if there’s no issue?? After getting ahold of the service manager, we’re told a completely different story that they looked at the car the day after they got it, and we’re waiting to hear if we were going through insurance or not to proceed. No one ONCE asked us this nor told us it was the reason for the hold up until going up the chain of command. Two weeks later after running “diagnostic” and $1300 my tire rod is replaced and I can finally pick the car up. When I get there I ask if I can take the car around the parking lot before paying to make sure it’s driving correctly. They then look at me like I have 3 heads and say “no one’s ever asked me that,” $1300 and I’m not supposed to make sure it drives first? In the lap around the parking lot everything seems fine until it starts making a noise a couple days later. I drop the car off to them AGAIN and they have it about 3 hours and can’t hear any noise, so I need to make a 3rd appointment to come back and ride with the technician. The day I originally tried to bring the car back for the 3rd time I called 5 separate times trying to see if the technician was in, and left a voicemail for my advisor and never once got a call back. One of those 5 calls I somehow got put through to sales, who tell me if the cars making a noise i should just trade it in! My year 1 old vehicle I should trade in because it’s making a noise. The following day I finally get ahold of someone and the technician hears the noise now at my 3rd appointment, so I need to bring it in for a 4th appointment so they can see why it’s making the grinding noise. I made the appointment for 8 AM, get a text confirmation for my 8:40 AM Appointment, but neither detail matters because they didn’t look at it until noon. Once again I go through my day of the goose chase trying to get any update, and finally get one at 4:30 pm. And SURPRISE they missed the first time they had the car for 2 weeks that additionally my wheel is bent, and I need new wheel bearings. They confidently let me leave the dealership like that and drive that vehicle for weeks at this point. Despite supposedly running diagnostic the first time. This slipped past them because “you can’t tell it’s bent just looking at it, it’s once you get the wheel off” I ask how the replaced my tire rod without taking the wheel off, “oh no we took it off”. So that’ll just be $2500 more for the wheel, and they aren’t sure if that’s the ONLY reason the cars making a noise, once we fix this we may find even more issues. They have no pride in their work, no timeline for completion on anything, and you may or may not leave with a safe operating vehicle. More

I had went to the reviews for the car dealership before went to check on this car, and I kept seeing postitive comments about Troy. So I was pleased when he was my saleperson. When you come to this dealership, please reach out to Troy. He will be honest and fair. Also, I had an overall great experience with this dealership. I love the car, and the price worked out for me.
