I purchased a 2014 VW TDI from another dealer and wanted to find a great VW dealership to service my TDI.  I looked at reviews and found Murdock to I purchased a 2014 VW TDI from another dealer and wanted to find a great VW dealership to service my TDI.  I looked at reviews and found Murdock to be the best; so I drove up to Logan on Sat the 17th of Nov and talked (interviewed) with the service manager, Guy Baldwin.  My wife says I am crazy but I like to know the folks I do business with. He put my questions to rest, he took the time to walk thru some specifics related to the TDI.  He could have brushed me aside but he did not.  I obviously do not want to have any issues with my car but I am now confident the team at Murdock VW in Logan will make it right.  The are now my go to for servicing. It should be called Murdock "All Regrets" Got an oil leak, stopped by Murdock "No Regrets" service. Guy Baldwin and the technician were very friendly and (apparently) knowleadgeble too, and es Got an oil leak, stopped by Murdock "No Regrets" service. Guy Baldwin and the technician were very friendly and (apparently) knowleadgeble too, and estimated $2,500 worth of parts to be replaced, starting with the stuff (panel etc) at the bottom of the engine, and they were eager to start working on the car right away. They kept asking for the key to the car. I totally bought their story, wondering whether it was worth investing this money into the car, maybe just sell the car or tow it, so I decided to get a second opinion from a local service, and was told that a good technician attempts to find the source of an oil leak starting at the top of the engine, since oil tends to drip from top to bottom. Makes sense. I ended up changing only the oil gasket at the top of the engine, and thus saved $2,000. Bottom line: If you really want "No Regrets" don't go to Murdock. More
