Dave is AWESOME! I first worked with Dave on a purchase of a 2013 Sonata Hybrid. He was wonderful to work with and answered all my questions. I previously had been a loyal buyer to a dealer up the street in which I had previously purchased 6 cars from within the last 6 years. Dave's people skills didn't make me think twice about making the switch to another dealership. I enjoyed working with him so much I came back three weeks later and bought my husband a 2014 Sonata Turbo. We look forward to making many more purchases from Dave in the future! One comment Id like to add and this has not representation on Dave but Alex Helm is the WORST most DISRESPECTFUL manager I have ever had to deal with and I cannot wait for my review to post for him if they allow it. Im sorry Dave that you have to represent such horrible managers like him. More
Who needs people skills when your a jerk. I recently purchased two cars from Murdock Hyundai, one 5 weeks ago and another three weeks ago. The first car I purchased was bought in the rain and I recently purchased two cars from Murdock Hyundai, one 5 weeks ago and another three weeks ago. The first car I purchased was bought in the rain and wasn't able to be fully looked over until about two weeks later when finally washed and detailed. My husband noticed a two rims had been curb checked and we notified our sales rep (Dave Rasmussen) immediately who took care of the problem promptly by having the rims replaced. This was at our convenience as well as we live 50 miles from the dealership. Our second car was purchased at night and the deal was sealed with it around midnight. We have finally detailed the car about a week and a half after owning it and my husband noticed yet again a rim had been curb checked. I notified my sales person last week of this and he said he would take care of it all at once when we come back to the dealership to pick up our mats and plates. Both have finally arrived so today my husband took the car in on this way to work and was told the rim would not be "fixed" because there wasn't anyone there to do it. Last time I checks a brand new 2014 should have BRAND NEW rims, not REPAIRED rims. I called Dave immediately angry and he let me know the New and Used Sales managers would not approved switching the rims as done with the other new car i purchased. I requested to be given a call immediately. After a little bit I myself called and asked to speak with Alex. He said he spoke with Dave but was not aware who I was, I explained who I was and expressed my anger. He giggled at me and said the rim would be replaced. I became furious this man would have the audacity to laugh at me as a customer. I asked him why couldn't the rim had been replaced when my husband was there as he has to drive far and out of his way to go there and he said "well we only have a month after the car is sold to fix things and that is up so that makes it a little hard". This is a LIE as the car was purchased May 30th and today is June 27th and the ONLY reason the car was not brought in soon was at the directive of the sales rep. We let him know over a week ago!! I told him my husband wasted his time there then and he told him (and I apologize I don't recall his exact words) but referring that I was wasting his time. I replied it wasn't a waste of their time when I was down their purchasing two cars in 3 weeks. He just continued on that he is a busy person and he said he'll get it fixed. He completely blew off how this made me feel. He again giggled and i told him to not give me an attitude please and he said I was the one giving him an attitude. He said he was telling me the rim would be fixed and there is no reason to go on about it. I asked when it could be done and he said Dave will be in touch with me. This man is a HORRIBLE manager and I feel bad for Dave he has to represent such poor management. Shame on you and everything you represent Alex! If Blake wants to continue to have a successful team he will be smart and get rid of you and your attitude and ego! you disgust me with your lack of people skills. The ONLY reason I will come back to your dealership is because of Dave Rasmussen, John in finance, and few other sales guys who are fun to joke around with. AND by the way, see you tomorrow when I come to get my rim REPLACED since it wasn't NEW when I purchased a NEW car! So I received your apology voice mail and $30.00 gift card, well you can take your card and shove it! maybe you should take your sales man dave out to dinner with it and he can teach you some customer service skills! More

Worse than useless, in fact, since they will take your reason for being there from the appointment and not from the customer. I was not asked what I wanted done, so they didn't do all I wanted. They didn't start work on my car until an hour after I had arrived, or 50 minutes after my appointed time. I wasn't given a printout or receipt afterwards, so I didn't know what they missed until I had one e-mailed to me the next day. I didn't know they could service my car without my signature on a work order, but they did. This only begins to list the frustration of dealing with Murdock Hyandai Murry's service department. More

He told me that he would call me on Monday to schedule the service. When I hadn't heard from him by the following Thursday, I called him. He again promised that he would get it scheduled and call me back "in five minutes." After a couple of weeks, he still hasn't called back. In the meantime, I have called the dealership multiple times, and have left several messages, none of which have been returned. I have also been promised by Tyler at the front desk that he would call me back with a purchase order so that I could schedule the work myself. He has also not called back. I would not recommend this dealership since they cannot keep promises. More

Amended Review, Surprised and Impressed. I have to amend this review, previously it was listed as "Dishonest Service Department, Disrespectful Employees.". After I wrote the review (See Below), I was contacted by Mr. Blake Murdock, he is 1 of the owners of Murdock Hyundai. We discussed why I had given his dealrship such a poor review, he seemed genuinely concerned about the issues I had listed in my review. Not too long after we spoke on the telephone, I received a letter from Mr. Murdock, in it was a check to pay for a free oil and filter change, and a voucher that could be redeemed for a free 30,000 mile service. On 8 August 2014 I took the car in for the 30,000 mile service, everything was GREAT. Because Mr. Murdock showed me that he cares, I will now reccomend this dealership to others, and may consider doing business wth Murdock Hyundai in the future, When we bought this car from Murdock Hyundai we thought that we had found a dealership that we could purchase from again. Then I took the car in for service and the service advisor lied to me about repairs that the car needed; he told me that the brakes were bad and needed to be replaced. I could not believe that the brakes could be bad at 24,000 miles, and most of the miles were freeway miles. I told the service advisor that I would take care of the brakes, when I checked the brakes there was more than 2/3rds of the pads still there. I gave Murdock Hyundai a bad review and was contacted by a disrespectful dealership employee named Stuart Jack. He did damage control and them promised me a free oil change. When I came in to get an oil change it was not free, he had just told me something to smooth things over. I filed a complaint with Hyundai motors and they just blew me off. I sent a complaint to Murdock Hyundai and they responded by asking me what kind of car I was interested in. I did the instant messaging with Murdock Hyundai and asked to have 1 of the owners contact me, they never did, given the integrity shown by this dealership, I was not surprised. I would not recommend this dealership to anyone, what ever happened to honesty and integrity? On top of all of this we have to watch their ridiculous ads on television, the owners act like they are your best friend, then lie to you about the condition of your car; this type of behavior is a learned behavior, but is reprehensible.
