Hassle-free new car purchase We found it necessary to purchase a new car while in SLC on vacation. Our son-in-law, Rick introduced us to Chris Neslen, from whom he had purchased We found it necessary to purchase a new car while in SLC on vacation. Our son-in-law, Rick introduced us to Chris Neslen, from whom he had purchased several cars at Murdoch, and Chris made the new car purchase smooth and efficient. His friendly, patient assistance made this car purchase the best experience we've had so far purchasing a car. John, the financial officer also was extremely helpful and efficient. Chris made the ultimate effort to expedite the delivery of our car so we could return home on schedule and he stayed later than closing time to complete all the details for us. We were very impressed with Chris and with the Murdoch service--and we love our new Tucson! More

He did an excellent job of helping us on both test drives and thoroughly explained all of the features of the vehicle. The financing process was quick and smooth and without issue. I will absolutely recommend Murdock Hyundai to my friends and family! More

Most Regrettable Purchase I experienced the worse service today from Darren Pugh. From this experience I learned that I'd never want to do business with you again. This car sales men represents the image that all buying customer's fear. I purchased a brand new 2016 SUV in December 2015. My purchase agreement was verbally sealed with 5 free oil changes. I went in today to take care of my first oil change and left with a nightmare experience. The mechanics did not have record of the oil changes which caused Darren to be involved. He spent a few minutes locating the information we had agreed on, and advised me that he did not recall offering that to me. This all being said after my car was already serviced. He stated that he believed what I was telling him, but proceeded to locate proof through paperwork within his desk, through the contract agreement information upstairs, as well as involving his manager. After not locating the information he told me not to worry and that he'd ensure this oil change was taken care of. At this point my mother in law and I had spent almost 2 hrs at your location in Murray. So we told him to forget about the paperwork. I explained to him that I wasn't feeling well due to a strain of my vocal cords and could not talk anymore. That's when my mother in law was explaining that I wouldn't lie to him about the oil changes. She explained that she recalls that we discussed that information with her when we purchased the vehicle and asked him why he would think that I'd lie to him about that. That's when Darren pointed his finger at her and asked her if she was involved in the purchase because he doesn't recall her being there. He stated that he can only discuss all of this with me, knowing I have a horrible hoarse voice. She stated that she is helping me due to the strain of my voice as I shouldn't even be talking, per doctors orders. Darren did not like this. He stated, "Fine. She should not be talking then (pointed at me), so you tell me what she is trying to say." My mother in law advised him that she had already told him what I was explaining and that she's not afraid to explain anything further if I needed her to. She stated it's clear that you don't want her to talk, but that she had to for my sake. His mannerism completely changed, his mood was aggravated because she was my voice due to my situation and began raising his voice. That's when he got up and told us to wait. He stated that he'd go figure things out. I watched him walk back over to his managers enclosed area to discuss whatever he was doing. When he came back, I told him that I was completely done. With my throat inflamed I became outraged. As loud as my voice would come out, I began expressing everything on my mind regardless whether I should be talking or not. I proceeded to tell him, "How dare you talk to her like that when she's helping me. What kind of person disrespects his customers? I paid over 30K for my car and you were there to make the sale through everything. Now you're making a fuss over an oil change? You remind me of my girlfriends experience with her car sales men named Brody. You're the spitting image as to why customer's hate purchasing cars because all sales men are out for the money, not the customers. How would you feel if that was your wife being treated like this if she had no voice? How about your family? You're unbelievable and my mother in law did not deserve an ounce of your attitude when she was only helping me, as you can tell from my voice." Darren stated I need to talk to someone about my complaints and that he'd get someone right away. I told him he better. I then pointed at Blake's office and asked him to get him right away. I told him I'd be happy to express my feelings towards my experience and Darren's attitude. I followed him that direction and Blake was not there. I told him to find him, or I'd write a review with exactly what happened. He then found his manager who came and talked to us. The manager, Ryan Knight, profusely apologized and advised that he's never to talk to us again going forward. He handed us the paperwork showing we had 5 free oil changes and he'd deduct 1 from today, since the service was accepted. He reassured me that he would input the information into the computer and that the service department have it in theirs. I appreciated him stepping in and offering this gesture. I unfortunately am not sure I will accept taking advantage of the offers, due to the disgust I feel towards my experience. I explained to Ryan that it's people like Darren that ruin customer's experiences. I don't return to purchase vehicles from this location, because of sales men like him. I return because of the quality of the vehicles. I explained that after today, I have no trust that I'd return to make future purchases. Ryan apologized and again reassured that the oil changes were being taken care of. That was the end of my experience. I am now home outraged with the entire situation. My voice is completely shot and my throat is in excruciating pain. I know that it was not safe for me to react and use my voice the way that I did, but I had no choice but to defend my mother in law who was only caring about my health. I feel that this experience deserves to be heard and major compensation be done for such experience. It's saddening that this happened over oil changes that he couldn't remember, yet he clearly recalled her not being there for the purchase. I'm in complete distraught over this. More

thank you scott child for OUTSTANDING customer service! scott child is the main reason we purchased our new tucson sport. we were greeted in the pouring rain the night we came in to test drive cars. he went scott child is the main reason we purchased our new tucson sport. we were greeted in the pouring rain the night we came in to test drive cars. he went above and beyond making sure we were meeting our financial needs as well as the car we wanted. after purchasing our new car we drove it for 2 days and made the decision we wanted to upgrade to the sport model. we called scott and he immediately made an appointment at our earliest convenience to make the upgrade. scott made the process seamless, and it took us less than an hour, and that included our test drive. because of scott and your no regrets policy we will be MURDOCK HYUNDAI customers for life. Please tell scott thank you for making this new car purchase an exceptional experience for rob & jennifer kendall :) More
