I phoned today to express interest in a new Hyundai Santa Cruz. The gentleman I spoke with stated that they only had a used Santa Cruz for test drive purposes, as they do not have any new ones on their lot, Cruz. To continue the conversation I was told that since I am an out of state buyer, that they will not sell me a vehicle. Due to the vehicle shortage, they are only selling to Utah customers. Wow! I guess my money does not spend well in Utah! I cannot believe this! I have purchased several vehicles in my life time. I have never heard of such a thing. The world has changed! I have never paid MSRP and now I am seeing dealers mark cars up as far as $25,000.00 beyond MRSP and not able to give you a delivery date. I welcome the day when the buyer is back in control of the deal, not the dealer! I guess I will be happy that all the cars I currently own are paid for and in good working condition, because it will be a cold day in xxxx before I pay over MRSP, or try purchase from a dealer who refuses to sell to me based on my state of residence. More
My experience with Murdock Hyundai. I will never go back there to trade in buy or service there ever again. Took my car in for a service, someone broke in and stole everything I had in it while it was parke there to trade in buy or service there ever again. Took my car in for a service, someone broke in and stole everything I had in it while it was parked in there parking lot. I told the employee about it, no one seem to care, not even apology was given, was told to contact the cop. A week later came back to pick up the car after its being fixed, they returned it the same condition as it was after it got broken into. Just wow!!! Had to request to talk to the manager because apparently this matter isn’t important enough that Manangement don’t have to come out to solve it. Worst car dealership EVER!!! More
The plan was to visit different dealerships to replace a car that has been totaled. The car was a Hyundai and was such a great car that we visited Murdock Hyundai again. Service center has gone from best to worst. We have bought our last three cars there because of service. But this year our experience in the service department has become unacceptable! We have had ap bought our last three cars there because of service. But this year our experience in the service department has become unacceptable! We have had appointments for simple oil changes and it takes literally over 3 hours to get it done. Totally unacceptable for an appointment! Then this last time they spilled a drink in my car when vacuuming and left my key in it and said nothing. Then we are now getting no surveys because they know they are horrible. When you say something they make excuses because they know you are stuck with them because of your service agreement. This may be now my last purchase after being a loyal customer for the last 10 years. More
We bought a car on August 26th. with a trade in. After nearly two months and numerous calls, the still have not paid off the loan on the trade in, nor have I received plates . I just purchased a used vehicle from Murdock Hyundai in Murray at the end of April this year. The car has a recall that i scheduled a service for and needed them to take a look at a noise in the front of t Murray at the end of April this year. The car has a recall that i scheduled a service for and needed them to take a look at a noise in the front of the vehicle that I have been experiencing for some time. The service advisor said it would cost 500$ to fix the noise and that it is a wear and tear part. I find it hard to believe the Wear/tear could not be seen on the vehicle when they did their multipoint thorough inspection before they sold me the vehicle a few months ago. I have been trying to get ahold of a sales manager today and the receptionist keeps transferring me to voicemail won't even put me on hold to speak to someone, super unprofessional and I would not recommend this dealership. More
