We sincerely wish we could help you. The problem, as we've discussed with you already, is that there is no evidence that any maintenance has been performed. You claim that you don't have receipts or service records because you change your own oil. However, it appears that the original Hyundai oil filter is still in the car after nearly 30k miles. If we request warranty reimbursement for engine work that your car needs, the claim will be reviewed and denied by Hyundai. If we request prior authorization they will come to find the same thing we have and could flag your VIN and put your car under further scrutiny for non-engine related warranty work in the future. It's not that we don't want to perform warranty work. Whether we are paid by you or the manufacturer it is all the same to us. We know from experience that the type of repair required and the apparent neglect of routine maintenance will result in a denied claim. Hyundai stands by their warranty like any other reputable auto manufacturer, and like all other auto manufacturers they condition warranty coverage on proper maintenance as outline in the owners manual. If you will provide us with evidence that the car has been maintained and oil changed we will be happy to proceed with the repair. Best Regards, Murdock Hyundai Murray
