Service department is DISHONEST. No other way to say it. Gave me a quote 5 times the amount another certified mechanic shop did the same work for (not an exaggeration). And Murdock quoted me additional services that the other mechanic verified did NOT need to be replaced yet. They charged me $150 to simply do a diagnostic for a dummy check engine light - and performed no work other than giving me dishonest quotes. The vehicle I purchased from the dealership has been good, but I will never take it in to their scam service department. More

Unfortunately, my experience has been overshadowed by the agonizingly slow and ineffective repair process at Murdock Hyundai of Murray. After enduring three hours of 103-degree weather, I reluctantly purchased a Hyundai Elantra, only to have the engine light illuminate within two hours and six miles of driving. When I returned on Monday, Erick assisted me in the absence of Lukas, acknowledging the engine issues and suggesting a recall covered by Hyundai. Despite Murdock Hyundai of Murray having my car for over three months, the repair process has been excruciatingly slow, poorly communicated, and seemingly endless. To exacerbate matters, my attempts to reach out have been met with frustrating obstacles. I have unsuccessfully called, been placed on hold, and visited the dealership twice, only to be told that the technician or manager is not in, and at one point, I was even informed they couldn't locate my car. This extended and inadequately communicated repair ordeal has not only incurred financial costs but has also resulted in significant time and inconvenience. A more satisfactory resolution would have been a timely and effective repair or a straightforward refund. For those valuing efficient repair services, I strongly caution against choosing this dealership. My experience highlights a notable lack of promptness, transparency, and accountability in their repair processes that has extended from July and is persisting into the end of November—a never-ending nightmare as they still have my car!! More

I bought a brand new 2018 Elantra. It has 10k miles on it as of this review. My paint is falling off in huge bubbles all over the car. I will have to spend thousands to repaint the car that is literally in perfect condition aside from swaths of paint falling off the car. The service guy proceeded to tell me how, in the 2000's Chrysler had a similar issue and did nothing about it... Thanks buddy, my friend punched someone in the face, is that okay for the next guy to punch someone in the face because you can pull a bad event out of history. Be like the bad company in the 2000's. Was about to upgrade to a brand new Hyundai. Will never purchase a car from them again. They are cheap and do not take care of you. The two service guys kept looking at each other and smiling like it was funny to them, and were quite cynical about the situation. At least show a little empathy, or go work somewhere you can do that. More

I tried to tell her that I do maintain my vehicle, but she continued to tell me that the part broke because I didn't maintain the vehicle. There was a recall on the trailing arm across half of the US because it's a manufacturer defect. I change the oil, tires, spark plugs, etc.. I maintain my vehicles. They have a lying rude service dept. More
