I was shocked at the outstanding service from my salesman, Todd Thornwall and a manager, Lyle Kyte, at Murdock Hyundai. What an outstanding dealership! No pressure just a lot of time explaining ever salesman, Todd Thornwall and a manager, Lyle Kyte, at Murdock Hyundai. What an outstanding dealership! No pressure just a lot of time explaining every detail I wanted to know. No stupid games or tricks on pricing. Even the paperwork guy at the end was great, just clear explanations, prices and no bs. I needed a new car really fast, mine was in an accident, and I really didn't want to shop for a car or negotiate with a dealership. I work in IT, I don't know much about cars, so I did my research online and found a few. I went to various dealers to check out them out. I didn't need a Tums, but still more hype than help and I got that feeling they were dancing with the price etc. Then I went to Murdock. Wow, what a difference. Right away I asked Todd for the out the door pricing and he did it quickly. The price was better than I found on the internet. Then we went to look at the selection. I found what I wanted, the last one of that type in in SLC. I saw others looking at it so he let me put down a refundable deposit on my credit card and I went to another dealer. Bad experience even though the car was ok, so back to Todd. I saw how other customers were treated so I wasn't an exception at Murdock. I haven't been this satisfied with buying anything in years. Any store for anything, let alone a $28K purchase. Well, maybe except for a really great deal on an excellent wine, which I drank after I bought the Veloster turbo ultimate. What a car! I have been recommending Murdock and Hyundai to everyone who looks at my new Veloster, and lots do! More

We had a great experience with sales and with finance. Finance was willing to work with us, and got us into the car we wanted for a good price. Ryan was attentive and very good with our two year old. The beverages, TV in the lounge area, and even the bbq outside for memorial day were good. The only reason our overall experience was only good instead of great was because we had to wait for two hours to get in for paperwork signing, which with a toddler in tow is not the most pleasant of experiences. Once we got in, everything went smoothly and quickly. We did not, however, get to drive our new car home that day due to not having the car we wanted in stock, despite being told initially that it was in stock. That was disappointing but not preventable. This is our fifth Hyundai purchase. Out of all of the dealerships we have purchased a Hyundai from, this one was the best. More
I made an appointment a couple days ago to have my oil changed. I arrived at the dealership on time for my appointment. I told the friendly customer service agent (after being ignored by the first few tha changed. I arrived at the dealership on time for my appointment. He proceeded to tell me that it would be about an hour and a half wait because there were three people ahead of me. In my experience and opinion, this is unacceptable for someone who made an appointment. Especially when there are signs all over the place that oil changes are "done fast". I ended up waiting about an hour and 45 minutes total. I took a customer comment card that listed a website where the dealership could be reviewed, but the website doesn't work. The people are nice, they offered free drinks, and they washed my car. I appreciate all of those things, but, HOLY MOLY! What is the point of making an appointment?! I'll give them another shot but I have a feeling I'll regret having purchased a maintenance package from that dealership. More
My wife and I have been shopping for cars over the past several months and when we made it over to Murdock Hyundai we noticed a huge difference in the atmosphere and experience. Scotty and Keith recommende several months and when we made it over to Murdock Hyundai we noticed a huge difference in the atmosphere and experience. Scotty and Keith recommended the Santa Fe and took us out for a drive. Both salesman were professional and did a thorough job of explaining all the features of the Santa Fe and the financing options we had (without being pushy). My wife fell in love with the vehicle and I could tell it was her favorite. I wanted to surprise her for graduation and they were a great help and made it really fun for my wife. I will be going back for future purchases and will be recommending this dealership to friends. More
We came to specifically look at the Santa Fe and the Tucsan. As we were looking at the Santa Fe Ryan came out to see if we had any questions. I don’t like being the person that writes ugly reviews against a company, this is actually my first time, but, I feel it is time to say something publicly. Murdock Hyundai in Murray, UT is one of the mos against a company, this is actually my first time, but, I feel it is time to say something publicly. Murdock Hyundai in Murray, UT is one of the most unethical business’s I have ever done business with. I have bought many cars in my lifetime, and only two of them used, this car being one of them, and my experience with Murdock is by far the worst. I brought my concerns to their attention this week after several years of being angry with the unethical practices of their sales personal during the sale of my car, and the very poor practices of their service department. What brought me to my decision to take my concerns back to the general manager, Blake Murdock, was when looking at a new vehicle the dealership brought it to my attention the car I had bought from Murdock had a dirty carfax. A hard lesson learned, out of my nativity did not believe a reputable dealership could or would sell a car with a dirty carfax. At no time was this information offered to me. I was willing to give them the opportunity to make this up to me; seeing how I am now stuck with a car I will never be able to sell. Once again, they went back and forth over $20-$25 difference in my car payment. They attempted to convince me they were losing money, expecting me to put money out of my pocket. How insulting to continue to make me pay more when this time around they should take a lose…I already have! I’m not asking for a Free car, only a fair and honest deal. They were so cheap and crooked when I purchased my car, they wouldn’t throw in floor mats (there were none), and come to find out, too late I might add; I didn’t have a jack to fix a flat tire on my car! After hours of pressure selling, by several different sales personal, and my needing a new vehicle I agreed to buy my 2008 Elantra. I recall the sales persons going back and forth over $15-$20 a month difference in my payment, I finally gave in and wrote a check to get my payments where I felt comfortable. Only later to realize the “free oil change maintenance” for the next several years had been written into my contract. I was now paying for those “free” services with interest. To add insult to injury, each time I have had to take my car into their service department it has always taken 2, and even 3, yes 3 hours for an oil change, while I sat in their waiting area. I had a new battery put in and the next day it wasn’t working. I took it into the dealer, and the service manager stated I had put in a battery that wasn’t factory and he would have to take it out and charge me $330!!! I took the battery back to the auto store I bought it from; they contacted another Hyundai dealership and found it was a simple fix, no additional cost! I could go on and on about the poor and unethical business practices of this dealership, but I think you have a good idea of how they operate. I would say consumer beware! I intend to post this in as many media forums available; as well I will be reaching out to the consumer protection group. Murdock Hyundai lives up to the reputation we all have of a car, worse yet, a used car salesman…Their slogan is “The No regret dealer”…really??? More

I am seriously SO impressed with Murdock Hyundai of Murray. I have been to a lot of dealerships and this was the only time I have never felt like I was walking into a shark tank. He was not pushy and I feel confident he was always telling us the truth. We have been stopped everywhere we have been with our new 2013 Santa Fe Limited. People want to know where to get one. We have directed them to Murdock Hyundai. There is another Hyundai closer to our home, but it was a horrible experience going there. As for the vehicle it is AMAZING!!!!! We LOVE it!!! I cannot believe all the nice features. It's so solid. I only wish it had more random storage space. Other than that it is perfect. I feel my family is safe and secure and it has excellent gas mileage. We were so close to getting the Toyota Highlander, but I wanted to see the new Santa Fe first. I contacted Jason back in January and he said he would call to let me know when they came into Utah and he did follow up with me a couple of times to keep me posted when they would be in stock. It was night and day difference driving the Santa Fe and we are happy to be Hyundai owners! Thank you so much! More
