Hyundai is terrible at service and terrible at building cars. I bought a new Kona last year for my little sisters 16th birthday. The engine exploded due to manufacturing defects at 7k miles while she was cars. I bought a new Kona last year for my little sisters 16th birthday. The engine exploded due to manufacturing defects at 7k miles while she was driving it late at night. She had PTSD from the event and would not drive it. I gave them a second chance and got her an Elantra, despite the fact they didn’t give me any deal or benefit from the factor their car failed at 7k miles and inconvenienced me for days. Guess what happened next? On the second oil change they didn’t tighten the oil plug and it drained out staining my driveway and the road in front of my house. It did the same thing to my sister as she was leaving school and had to be towed back to the dealer, embarrassing her. Now they tell me it’s just fine despite being driven with no oil due to their negligence. What good is a 100k mile warranty if you have to spend several days without a car every 6 months? What kind of car company and dealer does this and doesn’t compensate paying customers for their wasted time, money, and ruined property. Hyundai and Murdock Hyundai, that’s what kind. Most disappointing car experience ever. More

I had a abs warning light come on. I took my car in because i had a warranty. The issue wasnt a warranty problem. I paid a $150.00. Diagnostic fee to have it looked at. I was told all my breaks and rotors front and back were all bad. I ask if the rotors could be reurfaced and was told they needed new ones. For a 150.00 it was my expectatiin that they were really thorough and looked at everything. They wanted $1400.00 to replace all pads and rotors. I was shocked and asked why its so much. They talked with a service manager and got it down to 1200.00. I priced all the parts out at autozone.. Gold rated front and rear pads with warranty and hardware. 4 rotors and 2 quarts of break fluid was 350.00 if i were to buy them. I am sure a dealers cost is much lower for them to purchase them. So i am guessing they are charge $900.00 for labeor to change out the brakes. Which might only take an hour or so. Which is ridiculus. I went and got a second opion. All my rotors were in pristine condition. I front breaks and plenty of pad on them my rear breaks needed to be replaced my beakfluid was a little low.. I paid $90.00 for parts and labor. So why did they want 1200.00 from me to just replace the rear brakes. If they really looked at everything they would have known thats all that was wrong with it. Feeling like they takee advantage of people beware. If they are not going to actually look at my car they shouldnt have charged me 150.00 More
