Jeromey, We're not sure why you think the oil hadn't been refilled. Your car was making loud noises at high RPM. It is clear that the car shot a rod. If there had been no oil replaced it would have made those same noises at low RPM. We do our best to inspect and identify current and potential problems that our pre-owned cars may have before putting them up for sale. Still, we know that unforeseen problems may arise and that many people decline to purchase longer-term warranty coverage. For this reason we send our customers out with a 3-month/3,000-mile warranty fully funded by the dealership. Beyond that period of time it is expected that the customer will take responsibility for their car. A $200 deductible on free warranty coverage is a relatively small price to pay compared to the loss incurred by our business. But we do this because it is the right thing to do... the No Regrets thing to do. If we had any reason to believe that the problem with your car was due to negligence on the part of our technician we would, of course, waive the deductible. Best Regards, Murdock Hyundai of Lindon

The reason I don't think the oil was refilled. Was the very next day went to leave somewhere and had a clatting sound. Like hydraulic lifters that had bleed off or loose rockers. I checked the oil and found no oil on the dipstick. I had to top off with NOT one or two, but FOUR quarts of oil. To get a reading on the dipstick. The engine only calls for 4.25 to 4.5 quarts. There was no sign of any oil leak. And some how the oil light never came on during any test drives or my drive home, that one is beyond me. I called the service department the very next day to inform them of the problem. The car still ran fine just with a noise under certain load conditions. Which was probably a bad rod bearing, based of the diagnosis I got from the shop. There shouldn't have been any problems with the car it's a good car. I'm happy with the purchase just very frustrated that it had to go back so soon for such an avoidable thing.

I failed to mention in the last response, that there was a brand new service sticker in the windshield indicating that the Murdock Hyundai service center just completed the oil change using the wrong weight of oil.
