Very Helpful, No Pressure, Wanted to Accommodate me. After looking at several car dealerships for just the right car, Clayton at Murdock Hyundai Lindon searched until he found the perfect car for me. And After looking at several car dealerships for just the right car, Clayton at Murdock Hyundai Lindon searched until he found the perfect car for me. And because of his easy-going nature and his enjoyable personality, it made looking for and buying a car fun. I never felt pressured by him. I only felt like he wanted to help me. He was very honest and forthright in all aspects of looking at different cars and then with my final purchase. He was always present, no matter what time I came in to the dealership, which made me feel like he really wanted to help me, not just make a buck. And instead of being passed to several different car salesman like I was at other dealerships, Clayton stayed with me from start to finish. After experiencing several different dealerships, there is definitely something different about Murdock Hyundai in Lindon. They really do care. I Love my car!!! I came in not knowing exactly what I wanted. Jacob worked with us for several hours and at 10:00 pm, finally got me out of the door. Disappointed My name is Kaitlyn Hampton and I am 24 years old. I am currently going through an extremely abusive divorce. The aftermath eturn has made me suffer se My name is Kaitlyn Hampton and I am 24 years old. I am currently going through an extremely abusive divorce. The aftermath eturn has made me suffer severely from; betrayal trauma, post traumatic stress disorder and lastly, has made my anxiety go from moderate to severe. Throughout my marriage, even up until right now as I am writing this, I have not been able to discern and comes to critical thinking. One thing that has helped throughout this process is the support from my family, leaders, doctors, my therapist and my service dog. I'm writing today to explain to you my experience with the service I was provided, the service after I was provided and the knowledge and light I have gained today with the help from all of those supporters I name previously. With anxiety came depression, and I have been treated consistently for my disorder for over a year now. But once my divorce started, that is when it became unmanageable. So now to the not so fun part; the issue. I have a big issue. My friend who is a salesman at Hyundai persuaded me into coming in to the dealership a day after I got into my very first car accident, because he honestly convinced me i NEEDED a new car and he would make getting into a new car a breeze for me. Well the only way he did, was getting me in and out and driving away in this car I know nothing about. I didn't know the payment, I didn't know it was a lease, I don't even know what I signed or if even signed anything. His persuasion got me in your doors because he promised me two things and I trusted him in keeping those promises. Why? Not only because when you have no reason to not trust someone you automatically just do without thinking about it because that's just the way the brain works. But because of my disorder I trust others for a totally different purpose. I only trust someone who I know I can depend on to make proper decisions for me and my well being because once I am in a stressful situation I go on auto pilot and my discernment and the ability to have critical thoughts goes out the window. Hopefully that example will help you understand just how much I trusted this man who seemed sincere and caring. Those promises were broken and they were; 1. He assured me I do not need a down payment and he would meet my budget so I can afford a monthly car payment that I had pre set to absolutely nothing over $250. That number was even high for me. The reason And purpose behind why I was so strict on that is because my monthly income recently went from $25 an hour to $12 with future possiblites of commission. That commission is not promised. So right now I'm working at an hourly rate of $12 an hour. 2. At least a reasonable amount of money for my car I previously owned Letting go of my first car that I LOVED and had no payments due was soooooo hard and stupid of me to do "if" I was in the right state of mind. My car was bought For a total of $1000 and I've learned from family who are high up in this industry that it's worth atleast $6,000. And according to Hyundai website it's worth $7,000. I am extremely disappointed that I was so taken advantage of. I've realized how horrible the discrimination was. I get it, I am a blonde young, sensitive, ditsy little girl who doesn't understand anything when it comes to this stuff. One of the first questions I asked was, "what's the difference between a lease and buying." Even though his persuasion sounded near to impossible I still went full of trust yet empty because of the reality of my anxious thoughts over my budget. First thing I remember is himshowing me one car and one car only and then told me the monthly payment & then next thing I know.... my throats feels like it's closed, my neck and eyes are bright red, I could not stop itching, and I felt so nauseous. After that, I literally hardly remember anything that happened. I blacked out while I was there because my anxiety was so high. It felt like the worst allergic reaction/attack ever and I've never ever had any form of allergies in my whole entire life. They showed me no other cars, they just needed a sale. I have felt very dissapointed but I should've known all he cared about was getting one more sale before the next month. Even talking to him on the phone tonight he said word for word "I don't care". That leads to my communication with him. 6 days after I reached out to him about my fears....it took days to reply with telling me "sorry only 5 days to be able to qualify for any kind of exchange" I was 18 hours past qualifying? At this point I still have not explained my anxiety because I choose not to share that part of my life with anyone but my trusted sponsors. That is because of the embarrassing fact that my memory is blurry it's easy to think, "how could she just not know if she looked at other cars??" and because of the degree of my anxiety attacks. It's easy to think it's easy....to anyone who doesn't have to deal with it. But tonight after multiple people went over details and my contract....I've had many things brought to my attention from mechanics, lawrys and car salesmen in my family: The law states that if I can prove any kind of form of disability , I can get out of my lease no questions asked. I wasn't in the right state of mind to walk into your dealership and I take full responsibility for that but that still does not mean I deserve this treatment. Very dissatisfied More
