I had a terrific experience at the Murdock Hyundai in Lindon! I came to just test drive a Hyundai, and I walked out that night with my dream car. Jacob was so great to work with, he was informative, friendly, and very understanding. I feel like there are the known expectations of how buying a car will be like. Those "expectations" include: a pushy salesman, hidden fees, and that feeling trapped feeling once you walk inside. To be honest, I expected that buying experience that I just described. That being said, that is NOTHING like what I experienced at the Murdock Hyundai in Lindon. Jacob made my experience enjoyable, I knew what I was buying, I wasn't pressured and I was able to get exactly what I wanted. Needless to say, I am extremely happy with my Hyundai and the need "family" I will have at Murdock Hyundai in Lindon! More
My overall experience with Hyundai Murdock was very poor and stressful. The negotiation process was horrible and they sold me a car that didnt pass inspections by my mechanic. The sales team all the way to the sales manager displayed poor customer service and did nothing to go the extra mile to make the customer happy. First they did not negotiate price at all. Not even 50 dollars. I have never heard of a car dealership that doesn't make deals with the customer. After purchasing the car i brought the car back to the dealership after my mechanic did a 5 minute inspection and said that it didn't pass inspections due to a leak in one of shock absorber. I took the car back to the Hyundai Murdock and i was assured their 150 point inspections was the best in the state and that i was probably wrong. After further inspection they admitted they missed it and told me they would fix it promptly. I waited for an additional hour or more before the problem was fixed. I was not compensated for my time and frustration in any way and was repeatedly told that my thinking was wrong and that I should shop elsewhere if i didnt like their service. It was a very upsetting experience and i wouldn't recommend anyone to shop at Hyundai Murdock. More

Absolutely GREAT car buying experience at Murdock. Derick was fantastic! He helped us get a new 2013 Veloster tonight. He wasn't high pressured at all. Derick even stayed 2 hours past closing with us to get the deal done. That is what great service looks like to me. I will highly recommend this dealership and Derick to anyone. I was having trouble with my car. I went to Zane who directed me to Jim Engle who was absolutely wonderful!!! :) He helped me trade my sick car for a much healthier one. The practice of going back and forth to the sales manager is VERY annoying and needs to be eliminated. I understand it is a "breaking down" tactic, which is why there is such a bad reputation for car salesmen. You know what price you will sell the car for and needs to be up front instead of the back and forth which took over 2 hours. The finance went well other than the system was down so Garrett had to bounce between offices to get the documentation printed. Other than the excessive wait time for the pricing with the sales manager, the experience was very good. More
