To follow up: After contacting my warranty company. The tech at Mullinax falsely reported that the truck had been put through a carwash and that broke the mirror. How would he know that without ever asking??The motor does not even work to fold the mirror and no mention of that. Bottom line is if the dealership reports to the warranty company that the problem is not from mechanical issue your claim is denied and you have to pay the dealership! More
The service department is real bad, I came in on Wednesday spoke to rep Marcos about my truck issue he said I need to drop off truck. Told him I can drop off next week he said no problem bring in we Wednesday spoke to rep Marcos about my truck issue he said I need to drop off truck. Told him I can drop off next week he said no problem bring in we give you a car. Came in at 7:45am on Wednesday and he tells me he has no car nothing they can do. I took off work, need to work on Thursday and now got this problem. If he would have said we might not have a car I would have made arrangements and now I have been sitting on waiting room for 3 hours and still no car and haven’t look at truck yet. Had also overheard another costumer same issue. She spoke to manager from svc and it was like oh well. Wow what a bad service this is my first Ford so never had issue with service before. The service rep is nice guy but unfortunately he does what the dealer tells him and dealer told him they cannot give me a car. I will also report this with ford and other locations. More
Please note that the below experience happened at a different Mullinax dealership in Florida however they have chosen to completely ignore calls and emails. I can only assume it's a company wide issue different Mullinax dealership in Florida however they have chosen to completely ignore calls and emails. I can only assume it's a company wide issue since my Mullinax dealership was made aware that I would notify corporate and they actually laughed. Please read any other reviews of mine and see I do not leave negative reviews, however this is necessary. My 2020 Ford Explorer ST had been to Mullinax twice, once for recalls and once for an oil change. A short time after the second service the vehicle experienced an electrical issue and is still under warranty. After two days at the dealership we were notified it was a rodent problem. The dealership could not and would not provide any proof of this rodent problem. They saved the damaged part however the wire is cleanly cut with no damage to the connector or any signs of a rodent chewing on anything. When challenged on this they changed to a possible crash, something from the roadway flying up and cutting the wire and then said it was "probably a small mouse". They told me they saw rodent droppings but could not show me due to the "concealed location" of the damaged part. I asked if a mechanic may have possibly nicked the wire during the prior service, they said I have no proof of that and so it's on me to pay the $750 bill. I explained they couldn't provide proof of their claim and the service manager actually laughed at me and stated that they do not provide proof nor do they have to. With everyone having access to a camera phone it's hard to believe a simple picture to make a customer feel at ease is out of the question when a strange repair is needed. They have ignored emails and phone calls, absolutely terrible customer service. This incident has many more details however due to space I'll leave it at be extremely careful if you decide to use Mullinax Ford for ANY service related issues! Find another Ford dealership that actually cares about its customers satisfaction. More
Never have I ever given a bad review online but after horrific service from Mullinax Ford in Lake Park for my Ford Transit Connect I must warn future buyers to STAY FAR AWAY FROM MULLINAX LAKE PARK. DO horrific service from Mullinax Ford in Lake Park for my Ford Transit Connect I must warn future buyers to STAY FAR AWAY FROM MULLINAX LAKE PARK. DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM MULLINAX. They do NOT honor their warranties. And COVID is not an excuse for everything! I purchased my THIRD FORD a Ford Transit Connect from Mullinax Ford. I thought my warranty was 36000 miles or 3 years whichever came first. My car had 9500 miles on it when my battery died in November 2020 at only 1.5 years old. Called Mullinax service and they said they could not fix it until after Xmas!! So I called AAA and they came over in 10 minutes and said I needed a new battery. I called Ford to make sure they would reimburse they said yes just get us the receipts. Got new battery emailed receipts. 3 months later no reimbursement check and battery dead again, called AAA, they said and PROVED it was not the battery rather something in the car causing the battery to leak. Went to Mullinax they kept my car for a MONTH! They have no loaners. I had to rent a small car for which they said they would get me reimbursement. My total cost at this point was $1797!! Mullinax said they had to submit paperwork to Ford in Michigan for reimbursement. I got a check for $873 which was partial reimbursement for the car rental and $0 ZERO for the battery. Apparently here are Fords rules: -They do not pay for batteries if the battery dies during normal business hours unless you go to a Ford dealer. Mullinax never told me that. My battery died at 11 am. Mullinax told me to keep my receipts and submit. If my battery died after business hours MAYBE they would have paid for it, who knows. -Ford only pays $35-$49 per day for a car rental reimbursement FROM THE START DATE OF WHEN THEY BEGIN THE REPAIR!! Since my car rental cost me $1455 and they only reimbursed me $873 it means MY CAR SAT ON THEIR LOT FOR TWO WEEKS or MORE doing nothing. So now I am out of pocket $982 for this entire mess. ALMOST A THOUSAND DOLLARS WHILE UNDER WARRANTY! I called FORD in Michigan. First they said they would try to get Mullinax to reimburse me more, EITHER FOR THE BATTERY or the rest of the RENTAL but not both!! Made no sense to me. MULLINAX refused. So then Ford in Michigan called and left this message. "To keep my battery receipts because right now they do not have a program to reimburse me but maybe in the future they would" WHAT? In the future I will NOT be under warranty... no chance they will reimburse me then if they do not reimburse me now. Do NOT purchase a car from Mullinax Lake Park. Sad since they lose the trade in sale of my current FORD and the sale of my future FORDS. How STUPID can a dealership be to lose a loyal car customer over $982? More
I dropped off my 2017 F150 for service with respect to the rear end noise I was experiencing. It’s a CPO, but I didn’t expect the level of honesty and info I received immediately.
