At random it would lock up, pinning my wife to the seat, unable to move. For safety we would have to stop the car every time; it would have to be unbuckled, then fully retracted before it would act normally to allow movement such as leaning over to access the glove box. It might go a week without symptoms or it might lock up six times in a five mile trip. The service writer, Martin, replaced it under the 50K safety warranty. The new belt acted EXACTLY the same, locking up at random intervals. They replaced it again. It did it again. Ford Motor Co. had no answers. I needed a “second opinion” as the service department could not replicate the issue. One Sunday, out for a drive, it locked up and we drove ten miles to Mullinax with my wife locked in place. I showed it to one of the salesmen on duty so we could verify it with service the next day. The salesman was not a “Certified Mechanic” so he was not “qualified” to describe that the belt was locked up. I found a seat belt repair facility on line, but the service manager explained that this was for wrecked cars and may not work properly. He talked me out of trying them. It continued to get worse, so I took it back, AGAIN. In my last discussion with the service manager, Michael, I demonstrated the issue. It would lock up, then not release. I explained that in an accident, if my wife could not reach to unbuckle it, or if the buckle was damaged, she would be trapped. I showed him that the belt would not even move if the shoulder pulley was in the lowest position. I worked best in the highest position, but still locked up. “That's normal.” Say what? I showed him that the driver's belt did not act that way. “Well, it wasn't like that. You must have been working on it.” Note: I've been a motorcycle mechanic for forty five years, owning my own store for thirty five. I really hate when customers “fix” my work. It makes it almost impossible to correct an issue. I would NOT do that and explained so. “Well why didn't you explain about the pulley when you brought it in?” I told him that it never occurred to me that someone replacing a malfunctioning seat belt would not check the ENTIRE system. “Well, you didn't mention it.” And truly I didn't. I assumed a level of competence that was unfortunately sadly lacking in the service department. I finally got him to sit in the passenger seat and try it out. He EXACTLY replicated the symptoms. Then he got out, looked me in the eye, and said, “You need to get a second opinion. I can't replicate the symptoms. But I'll fix that pulley.” He did fix the pulley, a ten minute job, and I left. It is much better now. It now only locks up every hundred miles or so. Mullinax should hire a real mechanic. They apparently only have hack parts changers. That may be adequate for routine oil changes, but falls far short of the level of professional expertise I assumed a large dealership would demand of its employes. At this point I find it hard to believe that the belt system was even replaced. I was never shown the old parts. I think that the best that can be said of Mullinax is that they would be happy to take your money. I will never buy anything from them or take my car in to be serviced there. More

Easiest car buying experience ever... Came in a bit late after work looking at a car my wife saw online and within the hour they had numbers back for us that was below what we expected. C Came in a bit late after work looking at a car my wife saw online and within the hour they had numbers back for us that was below what we expected. Chad was upfront with us about the entire process, laid it all out, and all went exactly as he described. Chad also kept up with our brand of humor and banter and actually made the entire process fun for my family. Not only that, he drove home in a Ford as well. This is our 4th Ford and sure not to be our last Ford... from Mullinax and from Chad! My wife's happy... I'm happy. More

Over the weekend I met Brian Casper at a barrel racing event for Behind The Badge where he brought a truck down and Mullinax Ford was also a sponsor. Over the weekend my husband and I looked at the truck and told Casper we would be up after work to talk numbers. Everything worked out and we came home with our 2019 f350 crew cab dually! We love it! Best Dealership by far! My Chevy Equinox engine blew up on me last week and I went to this dealer just looking for a Ford Explorer. I was not going back to a Chevy. Chad Ja My Chevy Equinox engine blew up on me last week and I went to this dealer just looking for a Ford Explorer. I was not going back to a Chevy. Chad James meet my mother and I out in the lot while we were just browsing the cars. He was so nice and very polite to us both. He was the lowest pressure sales rep that I have ever encountered. He was straight and upfront and listened to all I had to say. He didnt try to upsale me anything and was very personable. The finance team were also super great and worked with me to get me into the Explorer that I really wanted. They even gave me a great deal on the Chevy as a trade in. This dealership was by far the best place I have ever bought a car from. They were awesome and I would highly recommend anyone to get their next Ford at Mullinax. More

I called 5 different shops to get appraisal and found that Mullinax was the best quote. Call them and they had openings that week, so I booked and that day left my truck with them. They did a 90-point inspection and where unsuccessful at adjusting my brake. They called me and said they believed my pads where worn beyond adjustment and gave me a price on the addition of new pads for both sides. It was only a few dollars more than the original price quote. Danny my service writer got busy on it and call me when it was done. When I picked it up I saw the pads that where almost metal to metal. Danny told me they had to pull my axles to do the job something they didn't expect but the E-Brake works flawlessly and should have many years off use. Communication was good, Team work was great and the price was very pleasing as I knew with all the extra work that I would have to pay more and didn't. I look forward to using Olympia Mullinax again. Thanks because of their fair, friendly service. Terry H. More
