Keep looking! Run! Run as fast and as far as you can unless you're a fan of lemons and poor customer service. I bought a car just over two months ago and it has Run! I bought a car just over two months ago and it has been nothing but trouble since the day after I brought it home. The sales department was awesome. The services department on the other hand is a joke! They had my car cumulatively 24 day during the month of March and into April. Not once was I offered a loaner car ( I asked!) nor was a offered a courtesy ride home or back to work from the dealership. Let me clarify, I bought a used Chevy and I realize this is a Ford dealership - but they made the choice to sell the Chevy so I expected the same quality of service. After going back and forth about the misdiagnosis (they said it was my alternator and battery for a hard start issue. I'm not mechanic but the battery would have been dead by then from the alternator draining it and I never had any loss of power issues) one of the service women finally told me they had a 30 day parts and labor guarantee. It took literally days of asking questions and back and forth phone calls between several department heads before anyone told me about the 30 day guarantee. I finally agreed to have the battery and alternator changed because as they told me, they stand by their technicians. Low and behold they determined it wasn't the battery and alternator after all and they deiced to take it to the Chevy dealership and hold up my 50/50 warranty. I was super grateful! This was a Wednesday and I was told they'd be taking it to Chevy asap. Friday morning I called the Chevy dealership and they had not even heard from Mullinax. I made several phone calls and by 4 o'clock that Friday they had it over to Chevy - just in time for closing. My car had been at Mullinax ALL week with no progress. Monday rolls around and I've been in contact with Chevy, they have a diagnosis and are waiting to hear back from Mullinax to give them the go head and make the repair. Tuesday afternoon around 3pm Mullinax calls to tell me Chevy had a diagnosis and asked if I wanted to go head with it. Funny, it took ford 24 hours to get in touch. Chevy was professional and kept me up to date every step of the way. It took them less than a few hours to do the repair. My car sat there finished over a day before ford went to pick it up. I had to call ford and ask them when they planned on getting it - only to be told my service representative was out of town. I was then told the I - the customer - needed to give Chevy another service person's email to have Chevy send the repair quote before Mullinax could go get it. I asked the woman that I was talking to if that was my responsibility as the customer. Well guess what, as soon as I'd had my car back a few days it had more issues - just in time for my 60 day warranty to expire. This was not the only repair I had to have done. This was main nuisance though -especially considering the mountains that had to be moved just to get the right diagnosis and repair made in the first place. I spent 24 days over the past month having to find a way to work, the grocery store, and filling up gas tanks on borrowed car. In no way has this establishment acted in good faith not shown even halfway decent business ethics. More
