Philip and team at Muller Used car sales are a genuine, honest, no pressure sales team. In hindsight the most transparent about overall pricing. I am a 62 year old, single female. I had an appointment to test drive a 2022 Honda CRV Touring at Muller Honda. After taking it for a test drive, I decided I did want to purchase the I had an appointment to test drive a 2022 Honda CRV Touring at Muller Honda. After taking it for a test drive, I decided I did want to purchase the vehicle. I had an Approval Certificate from my bank, Chase. So, not just pre-approval, but approved for this specific vehicle for a specific amount. In addition to my down payment, it was the full amount of the CRV. After signing a few papers, the salesperson, Jim, said he needed to get the ‘finance’ guy. I thought that was odd as I wasn’t inquiring about financing. A couple times he also mentioned that they would figure out my payments. Again, odd as I already knew the exact payment amount from my correspondence with Chase. When the finance guy, Andy, finally arrived he told me that I would need to fill out an application. I said that I did not as I already had financing via Chase and it was in essence a cash sale as far as Muller was concerned. He made a couple comments that “You can go pick up the check from Chase” “You’re not going to tell us how to run our business” That was when I was done. I called Chase after I left and was told the dealer only needed to contact them with the ID that I had and they would have transferred the funds. They never even called Chase. I am convinced that this was a finance bait and switch. They were going to try to get me financed through their system rather than my own financing as it is another way for them to make money. As I am self-employed, I knew going through any other financing was going to require bank statements and other business records and I was not comfortable doing that. I have been banking at Chase long enough, that they didn’t require any additional information. Not only do I believe this was a bait and switch, I believe that it was because I was a female. They knew I had driven over an hour to test drive this vehicle. They knew that I had a blown engine and was without transportation. They assumed I didn’t know anything about this process. This conduct is abhorrent, and I would not recommend anyone purchase a car through them -- especially females!! More
As web site said, you do not need an appointment for a oil change and they would “get you in and out quickly. The manager came out and said they had stopped that service and it was not in their web site. I found it and showed it to him. He thanked me and said he would correct the web site. So my visit accomplished them promising to fix their web site, me wasting an hour of my time, no offer to change the oil as advertised, and me taking my business elsewhere. Totally unsatisfied. Manager’s solution was fixing the web site and he absolutely didn’t care about the customer, me. More
I called in advance to see if the vehicle was present and I was assured that the vehicle was present. When I got there it was not present and sold to another customer. I was going to settle for a Honda CRV E I was assured that the vehicle was present. When I got there it was not present and sold to another customer. I was going to settle for a Honda CRV EX-L because of the color option, however, I got the trim and color at another dealership (way closer to my house) that was guaranteed to come sooner. I informed the sales representative this and he was very rude trying to find every way to make me feel guilty in rescinding my interest in their honda. Totally unprofessional. More
