Not told about fees upfront, and incomplete services. Find another service facility. I called to schedule an appointment to bring in my 2011 F150 and confirm that my truck was still under Ford's Powertrain Warranty and my service rep Joe confirmed it was. I explained to him that I just wanted to get an estimate for the cost of any repairs that would not be covered under warranty as I did not have a lot of money to spend for repairs at the moment. The service rep assured me that he understood and that they would look at it and let me know what they found the following day before lunch. I called the next day around 1:00 because I had not heard anything. Joe said that the techs had just gotten back from lunch and that it had not been looked at yet. He finally called a little before 5:00 to let me know that I had several cracked spark plugs, the cylinder 1 coil was bad, and he recommended replacing the cracked plugs and the bad coil as well as doing an oil change, tune up, and induction service totaling $847. I told him that I couldn't afford that right now and that I would have to figure something else out about getting it fixed and I told him I would come back and pick it up and he said okay. When I went in the next day to pick it up I was informed for the first time that I owed diagnostic fees totaling $138.21. I was never told about the fee if I had I wouldn't have brought it in. I asked to speak to the Service Manager Todd Landers at which time I was told that he was unavailable and that he would be calling me but that I would have to pay the fees to pick up my truck and that he would be the one to adjust or refund any fees. I took the truck to another certified repair facility where I was shown that not only did I not have several cracked spark plugs but that they had never been removed and inspected. The coil boots were still sealed and had to be pried on to even get to the plugs that they supposedly looked at. I finally spoke to Todd Landers later the following week and explained everything to him and offered to bring the plugs in to show him. He declined and said that there was no way for him to prove that the spark plugs had or had not been inspected and he stated that there was nothing that he could do. More

We experienced some problems with our 2004 F350 diesel while traveling thru Tennessee and where very fortunate to find Mountain View for our repairs. A Monday morning with an out of town customer turned out to be a GREAT experience. Joe Nichols was our service rep and we were further helped by Amy and John the mechanic did a super job. No problems getting back on the road to TX and then back home to Colorado. ALL the folks we encountered at this dealership were SUPER.!! I will likely contact this dealership when I am ready for a new Ford. More
Recalls I had 2 recalls on my vehicle. The dealership that I bought the car from could not accommadate in scheduling the services. I called Mtn View and they I had 2 recalls on my vehicle. The dealership that I bought the car from could not accommadate in scheduling the services. I called Mtn View and they made an appointment with me for the service, provided a shutter to take me to work, and pick me up after the service was done. A day letter I received a call asking if I was satisfy with the service. I would recommend this service department to anywho needing services to their ford vehicle. More
Can't find time to service cars they sell I bought a $31,000 Mustang there and brought it back a couple of years later to have a small repair. The warranty was almost out because of mileage. I bought a $31,000 Mustang there and brought it back a couple of years later to have a small repair. The warranty was almost out because of mileage. All they had to do was look at it and order the parts but the lady at the desk said they couldn't even look at it until the next week and since the warranty was about out I would have to leave it with them. She said they couldn't even write it up and let me bring it in for an appointment. I took it to Brooker Ford in Dalton where they took it right in, looked at it, ordered the part under warranty, and sent me on my way in under an hour. I will never spend another dime at Mt. View. Terrible Service Department October 25th, my truck broke down in Chattanooga, TN, with what I thought was transmission issues. I live three and a half hours away, so my best opti October 25th, my truck broke down in Chattanooga, TN, with what I thought was transmission issues. I live three and a half hours away, so my best option was to get it towed to the nearest repair shop, to avoid a $700+ towing fee. When it was dropped off, I informed Mountain View Ford that I thought it was a transmission issue. The people at Mt. View Ford then come back with a diagnosis. They say that the main wiring harness is pinched between the firewall and the IMRC, causing the engine to miss on several cylinders, and needs to be repaired and rerouted. They also added that my catalytic converters needed to be replaced. What that has to do with the transmission.. I don’t know. A week later, after giving Mt View Ford the benefit of the doubt, we are told the truck is ready and to come pick it up tomorrow (10/31/14). So we arrive after our 200+ mile drive, only to be notified that it was not ready, and that it was in fact, the transmission. So now that I’ve already dropped close to $2,200+ on other issues they thought needed repair, I now have another $2300+ to add to that for a replaced transmission. We were told it would be done Tuesday, November 4th, 2014, WORST CASE. I wait till Thursday(11/6/14) to call, and it is still not finished. I get a call that Friday, notifying me it is finally done. I told them that I had an interview, and would have to pick it up Saturday morning. I asked about service financing, and they offered me a 12 month, no interest plan. We show up to pick up the truck, prepared to apply for a 12 month financing plan, and low and behold, they can’t do that on a Saturday. At this point, it was not a surprise to me that picking up my truck would not go smoothly. An hour later, they figure out that they can, in fact do it on a Saturday. So $4800+ later, we are out the door. But wait. There’s more. I drive 200 miles home. Everything seems to be running fine, when I pull off the interstate only to hear loud ticking and knocking sounds that were not there before the “repair”. I also noticed that when I put it in reverse, all audio cuts out. The last thing I’m doing is taking it back to Mountain View Ford, so I take it to the local Ford Dealer (Jeff Smith Ford) for a diagnosis. The same day, they come back with an answer: a piece of the transmission is chipped, which is causing the audio to go out, and it is not covered under any kind of Ford warranty. So Mountain View Ford put a broken transmission in my truck, and I have to pay for it? In conclusion, after two weeks without my truck, three 200 mile trips to Chattanooga, a rental car fee, and $4800+, my truck is still not fixed, and back in the shop. Its hard to believe that out of all the places to take your vehicle to be repaired, the Ford Dealership itself, would be the worst. More

Needed work done on my Ford. Took it to Mtn. View to repair. Had to return 3 times, each time I was told something else was wrong. After third visit ,I went to another Ford dealer. There I was told that repair. Had to return 3 times, each time I was told something else was wrong. After third visit ,I went to another Ford dealer. There I was told that the problem was the very same problem that Mtn.View had failed to solved on my first visit at a cost of over SEVEN hundred dollars,The other dealer not only fixed my problem, but did it for less. THINK TWICE and get a second opinion before you allow them to do any service on your automobile More
I have taken my car to Mountain View Ford numerous times, however they would not complete the warranty work needed for my transmission. Every time I have had an encounter with Mr. Todd the manager he has bee however they would not complete the warranty work needed for my transmission. Every time I have had an encounter with Mr. Todd the manager he has been rude and unprofessional. After filing a complaint with Ford Motor Company I picked up my car from Mtn. View Ford and another Ford Dealer is now fixing the car the way it should have been fixed 20,000 miles ago instead of just telling me this is how the car is suppose to run. I have talked to the BBB, a few lawyers, and the news channel today and they all have given me support for the next view steps which I will be taken within the next few days. I am very upset with Mtn. View Ford and the management has not tried to help or be supportive. After this post Shaun made contact with me and is working to get the problem with my fiesta fixed! I will post again when fiesta is working correctly! Shaun has been nice, caring and professional the entire process since my original post and has changed my overall opinion of mountain view ford! I would have to say this is the easiest and most pleasant car buying experience I have ever had. Rodney had me complete the financial information online and when I arrived at the dealership all I had to do w car buying experience I have ever had. Rodney had me complete the financial information online and when I arrived at the dealership all I had to do was pick out a car. Rodney had one he suggested and it was perfect. Everyone I dealt with was extremely friendly and helpful. I have always owned Fords since I feel buying a vehicle is a large enough purchase to buy American made to help the American economy. I will return to Mtn View when it comes time to buy my next car. I was suprised at how easy and comfortable it was to buy a car. Rodney Grimes is a great saleman and not your typical sales guy. I really appreciate his help and Mtn View for all their assistance. Thanks to all! More
My wife bought her car at Mtn. View ford in 2003. We have had it serviced there ever since. I have also had my F-150 serviced ther as well. We knew that it costs a little more to get your vehicle serviced at had it serviced there ever since. I have also had my F-150 serviced ther as well. We knew that it costs a little more to get your vehicle serviced at a dealership but thought it was worth it because they would always repair it on the same day and knew what they were doing. Last Thursday evening my wife took her Ford Focus in to have a noise checked out and to get an oil change. She was called at 10:30 a.m. by Gary the next morning and told the noise was a loose plastic guard under the front of the car and that the oil had been changed. The price was $85.00 for checking out and repairng the loose guard and $27.99 fo the oil change. We were told the vehicle was ready to be picked up and the total was about $112.00 before tax. He also said that the front brakes needed replacing for $179.00 but we chose to wait on that untill another time. We had to go to the hospital and told him we would pick up the car later Friday or Saturday morning. We were called again at 1:30 P.M. by Gary. I spoke to him this time and he told me that the car was ready and the price was $240.00. I knew that he had told my wife that it was $112.00 earlier and that the car was ready but I hadn't spoken to him so I told him that I would have her call him back. When she called him back to explain how the price had more than doubled. He said that they had done a software update on the cars computer and that he was not aware of it before. They are supposed to call before they do any repairs to get authorization like they had done earlier with the brakes but we received no such phone call. When we went in Saturday morning to pick up the car the cashier and the other worker on duty could not help us. We were told that if she wanted to get the car we had to pay and that she could call back on Monday to speak to the service manager. We went ahead and paid because my wife neede her vehicle to get to work. When she called the service manager on Monday he was rude and told her that since she had signed some paper that she had to pay and that she needed to pay attention to what she signed. We will not be buying any more cars from this dealership or using it for service. If you do take your vehicle there to get serviced don't beleive what they tell you on the phone or in person. It is what is in the 6 page paper they make you sign to get your vehicle back that matters. When you go to the cashier to pay you can see all these letters with positive feedback on the corkboard. That made me laugh because we were having an issue and couldn't get it resolved or even get a decent explanation while we were standing here in front of this corkboard full of these nice letters thanking them for doing such a great job. P.S. A couple of days after I posted this review I was contacted by Don Erwin at Mountain View Ford. He explained what had happened, apologized for the misunderstanding and we came to an agreement that my wife and I are satisfied with. It is good to know that there is someone who cares and will respond when a customer feels like they have been taken advantage of or mistreated. More
