By 10:00 AM Monday morning I had already been contacted by salesman Josh Newman to let me know that this SUV had been sold but if I told him what exactly I was looking for he would be happy to try to find it for me. Two weeks later we went for a test drive and although they did not have what I wanted that day Josh was able to find a Explorer with the features that was most important me. RUN FAR RUN FAST DON'T LOOK BACK I visited this dealership with my wife to purchase a new car. After speaking with the salesman Doug Rector, we look at several models and made a decis I visited this dealership with my wife to purchase a new car. After speaking with the salesman Doug Rector, we look at several models and made a decision on a 2016 Ford Fusion. After doing the credit app the salesman asked if I could co sign the loan. I stated yes I could and he asked to pull my credit. Before giving my permission to do so, I asked him NOT to broadcast my credit application to multiple lenders for 2 reasons. 1) I only want to work with Ford Motor Credit and if they could not do the deal with FMC I would utilize a bank I had done business with before. 2) I am in the market for a new home and needed to keep my credit file as clean as possible. "I understand" was Doug's reply to me. I let the pull my credit, BIGGEST MISTAKE EVER! After telling me they could not get it done with FMC I left the dealership. I was content that I was leaving with the understanding they only looked at FMC. WRONG!!! When I went to my secondary lender I found out that the Mountain View Ford staff COMPLETELY ignored my request and had sent my credit app to 6 different lenders to the tune of a 35 point deduction on my overall credit score. These people were asked to do a certain thing and work within the guidelines set by a customer, they did not!!!! It is obvious that the people at Mountain View Ford in Chattanooga TN are concerned only about a sale. I understand that, of course, that's why they are in business. However when the sale and collecting a commission is more important than treating the customer fairly, then there is something wrong with that business model. After bring the issue to the attention of the staff, I was passed from extension to extension to extension never really getting anyone on the phone. When I did get an answer it was from a less than intelligent individual and then all they had to offer was excuses. These people have NO scruples whatsoever, RUN FAR, RUN FAST. RUN FASTER, get away and stay away from this dealership, it is FILLED with un-friendlies!!!! More
