I will never take my vehicle back to Mountaineer Honda ever again. If I need warranty work or recall work I will go to the Honda dealership in Morgantown. I no longer trust Mountaineer Honda. I took my Pa ever again. If I need warranty work or recall work I will go to the Honda dealership in Morgantown. I no longer trust Mountaineer Honda. I took my Passport in for my free oil change and was surprised with the information that it was time to do a bunch of other stuff to the car that cost me around $535. It would have been nice to know that before I showed up that morning. I told them that the rotors seemed warped and the vehicle only had 14,000 miles on it. They looked at it while they rotated the tires and informed me that all 4 rotors had hot spots on them. I was then told that it was my fault and the warranty didn’t cover my bad braking habits. I am a very good driver with no tickets and I teach a course to special ed teenagers to help them pass their permit test. I think I know how to drive. I googled reasons why rotors would have hot spots at 14,000 miles and there were many reasons and only one of them was riding the brakes. I did get a call the next week day from the service dept checking on my service and I told them I wasn’t happy. I was then called by the manager of the service dept. He informed me I could have hit a pothole and messed up all four rotors. I didn’t. He did say he would change the rotors for free but I’m not going to bring the car back there, ever. I don’t trust them. How do I know they will change them? How do I know the next rotors won’t be junk like the first batch? Honestly, there is a dealer we’ve dealt with many times that has never done us wrong, who’s service dept has never done us wrong either, but I don’t want a Dodge. More
