Adequate But Not Excellent This service appointment was something of a mixed bag of both Pros and Cons and so I shall share both: PROS: - Service performed quickly and effic This service appointment was something of a mixed bag of both Pros and Cons and so I shall share both: PROS: - Service performed quickly and efficiently - Appointment was available at next to no notice - Mechanic found a work-around to restore partial function to the broken part while they waited for the replacement part to arrive, so that I could keep the car. CONS: - Parts prices were on the high end of expected costs - Labor fee seemed unreasonably high - Bill did not correctly reflect services performed according to the mechanic's notes. My summary of this would be a good group of mechanics being let down by "service advisors" who do not apparently understand the meaning of the word service. I would say that if factory certified technicians are not worth an upcharge on parts and labor to you, do some research and find an independent and reputable mechanic instead of using the dealership. More
Friendly and professional service beyond e expectations Problem came about suddenly so I did not call ahead for a service appointment. I was greeted right away in the service department by Kyle. Kyle made a preliminary diagnosis of what he thought the problem was, the problem was covered by warranty. Kyle offered me a complimentary car to have and told me he would call me as soon as my car was ready. He called me at home that afternoon, told me I could come back that afternoon or the next day. I picked up my car the next morning, Kyle said the problem was what he thought it was and everything should be fine now. More

I called the service number and was greeted with a kind voice helping me set a time to bring my car in. Upon arrival I was greeted in a professional manner and I went to the waiting room. About an hour later and we talked about the service they had performed on my vehicle and I was very satisfied. I payed for my services and was on my way. Excellent service with the professionals! Service The service advisor, Kyle Montgomery, tried to deny the warranty coverage of 3 years or 36,000 miles because a non AC Delco air filter was not install The service advisor, Kyle Montgomery, tried to deny the warranty coverage of 3 years or 36,000 miles because a non AC Delco air filter was not installed in the car and service had not been done there. He then tried to charge me over $800 for the repairs. Also it took four weeks to do the repair, some of this was due to a back order of a part, and I had to call to find out anything except for the last two weeks. To get it covered I had to involve the shop Director, Jimmy Clark. When the car was finally ready and picked up by me Kyle just said their it is and Thank you. He never gave any explanation of the extra work that was done and when questioned his response was just “ Yea”. I DEEPLY REGRET buying the car from Mtn. View and even more so having any work done there. I will NOT recommend Mtn. View to anyone or will I take it back for ANY work. All me business will go back to Walter Jackson Chevy in Ringgold ,GA. More
