Thank you for sharing your concerns. I understand why this was frustrating, and I appreciate the opportunity to explain what occurred. When your vehicle first arrived, it had multiple active transmission fluid leaks. Due to the amount of fluid present, it was not possible to accurately identify every leak source during the initial inspection. Based on the evidence available at that time, our technician identified the transmission pan gasket as a confirmed leak and recommended that repair first. After that repair was completed, you returned a few days later because an additional leak had become apparent. At that point, our technician confirmed the transmission output shaft seal was also leaking. While you had mentioned that seal during your initial visit, we cannot replace components based solely on suspicion, we must diagnose and verify a failed part before recommending or performing a repair. Although the second leak was a separate repair, we wanted to be fair. We adjusted your invoice by crediting all overlapping labor as though both repairs had been completed during the same visit, refunded the transmission fluid charge so you did not pay for it twice, and provided an additional $300 goodwill discount. Our goal is always to diagnose vehicles accurately while avoiding unnecessary repairs. In cases involving multiple leaks, it is sometimes only possible to identify all sources after the most significant leak has been repaired and the area can be reinspected. We appreciate your business and regret the frustration this situation caused.
